Re: Interest in NELTC or other Lego Group.

(...) Plenty of room for that... GMLTC roundhouse uses 3 RCX bricks and gawd knows how many sensors, switches, etc. Assuming John G gets it working right, that is. I added lugnet.trains.org to the groups list so that members of other clubs will see (...)   More GMLTC pics

Nine new pics. I finally had some spare time here with the scanner. With any luck (and provided we finish building in time) we'll have some .avi's of the layout from the train's prospective next month after the show. (URL) (25 years ago, 16-Jul-99, to lugnet.trains.org)

  Re: Known groups

(...) A lot of the Red Line stations are pretty cool, for subway stations. And the underground would be kind of fun to model. (25 years ago, 16-Jul-99, to lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.loc.us.ma, lugnet.loc.us.ma.bos)

  Re: Known groups

(...) Hmm, maybe Boston is too localized, from what people are saying on other parts of this thread. What about an EMLTC or a NELTC? EMLTC - Eastern Mass. LEGO Train Club NELTC - New England LEGO Train Club (Note: I'm not into Trains, so I couldn't (...) (25 years ago, 16-Jul-99, to lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.loc.us.ma, lugnet.loc.us.ma.bos)

  Trolley doors

Hiya! I'm working on a model of the San Diego Trolley, and am trying to figure out how best to emulate the doors on the trolley. They're a sort of gull-wing type in that they pop out from the trolley before sliding to the side. Has anyone (...) (25 years ago, 16-Jul-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: more known groups

Just thinking here about NOVA LTC... Did you know that Chevy tried to market the Nova in Latin America and it totally flopped. It seems as though nobody in upper management knew that NOVA means "It doesn't go" in Spanish. Being in California, I know (...) (25 years ago, 16-Jul-99, to lugnet.trains.org)

  Re: Known groups

I tried to build a Green Line car, got as far as a frame that properly articulates and the steps, but ran out of time and scrapped it... My sense was that getting the center portion of the body to properly bend will be a challenge. I've subsequently (...)   Diesel F Series A & B Units (was Re: Deisel F Series A & B Units

Very nice. It says "F" to me. Some comments. Nose needs work. The coupler makes it look too bulky. Rather than trying to make a coupler that pivots, mount a magnet directly in the pilot (using either the 2x2 magnet holder plate, mounted vertically, (...)   Re: Known groups

  Deisel F Series A & B Units

I have been working on a stylized Union Pacific F Series A and B unit as a heavy hauler for my layout. I'm hoping to get some input from the train aficionados that frequent this group.
