Excellent model John! Hmm... I can't say many more comments that haven't beens said in this thread already, so I'll just ask some questions. Are the ribs 1x1x5 bricks? How firmly is the red end attached? I see how it is tied in to at the bottom but (...) (24 years ago, 21-Apr-01, to lugnet.trains)

Robin- Actually I like number 4. I'd like it even better with a drop shadow on the letters. It's nice, clean, and bold. -John 3 (...) (24 years ago, 21-Apr-01, to lugnet.trains)

  Breaking radio silence...

Too much work (still pre-IPO, but still hanging on after 5 years!), but I finally made some time to build more improvements on my Spine Car. I added some beds for the SuperTrain 2001 show, but I finally made some time to work on much-needed (and (...)   Re: New IOLTC Logo

(...) Couple of comments: 1. Being an Aussie, I think it's much nicer!!! 2. "Of" should probably have lower case "o" 3. The (R) symbol is usually done as superscript 4. Although reducing realism, I think it'd be better without the little levers (...) (24 years ago, 21-Apr-01, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Coal Car Question

(...) Sort of. When you look at a particular car, what you want to do is identify *what* unit train it belongs in... because in many cases the cars are owned by the utility company, or at least, are covered by a exclusive use contract. So you don't (...) (24 years ago, 20-Apr-01, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Coal Car Question

Re: my MOC blue mallet steam engine finally is done !!!

Adrian, I really like this model and the use of the blue quarter rounds. Those little parts are pretty tough to come buy in a decent quantity of any color.   Re: Coal Car Question

(...) The car is rotated to empty it out. In the dusty archives of this group is a link to a rotary tipper that someone built. Note that in the prototype, often a cut of cars is rotated *in place*, that is, while still coupled in the train. This (...) (24 years ago, 20-Apr-01, to lugnet.trains)
