  Re: V188/288 Diesel Is Complete

(...) Cool, you got pictures of the flatcar? That loco is awesome! Josh (why look in the dictionary to find out how to spell a word, when you have to know how to spell it to find it in the first place?) (24 years ago, 18-Apr-01, to lugnet.trains)

  V188/288 Diesel Is Complete

I've finally completed my version of the V188/288 double-diesel. Note that this is connected by a drawbar in the middle instead of standard couplers, this is prototypical. I would've liked to round the roof off, but could not find enough of the (...) (24 years ago, 17-Apr-01, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Train can have sound effects

(...) Actully you could use an N, or HO scale DCC system, and mount it some how, with the little speakers that HO scalers use, to emit recored sounds, I'll look in my magizines and see what i can find. Josh (24 years ago, 17-Apr-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.trains)

  Re: Pic: New Green Building

(...) Chris built it (he completed it AT the show). It's a great example of how not limiting size too much can end up with jaw dropping models. It's also a great example of how not structuring your displays can end up with one model dominating an (...) (24 years ago, 17-Apr-01, to lugnet.trains.org)

  Buik e-train

Whilst passing through Cairo Airport, I noticed in the duty free shopping area amongst the toys a Lego clone train set It was the Buik e-train Very simple, battery driven - used it's own track system that wasnt lego compatible. Only $15 regards (...) (24 years ago, 17-Apr-01, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, lugnet.trains)

  Re: Pic: New Green Building

(...) Now that is what I call an airport! I am so jealous. I can only dream of owning enough LEGO to build such an awesome MOC. I think I'll go cry now. Seriously though, my hat is off to whoever built that. That is just awesome. Tim Strutt 8^) (24 years ago, 17-Apr-01, to lugnet.trains.org)

  Train can have sound effects

I think this player can be used to play train sound effects, but the price is too expensive, about $350! Zhengrong (...) (24 years ago, 17-Apr-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.trains)

  Re: Pic: New Green Building

(...) I'm sorry to butt in on this thread, but a person can have a solid building and still have it nicely detailed on the inside. Just follow Kevin Wilson's example and have your roof and each flor section removable to allow others to see the (...)   Re: Pics: JAC Bethgon Coalporter

(...) Thanks. (...) Yes. (...) Nope. In fact, I needed to use a 1x2 center stud for that, because I'm 8 wide at the bottom. The car started out as an 8 wide, but counting the offset of the ribs on each side, it totals 9. Now I normally wouldn't (...) (24 years ago, 16-Apr-01, to lugnet.trains)

Re: what is the rarest train set?

(...) The most expensive train set ever has been the 7750 MISB: it went for over 4000 DM (1800 .. 1900 $) 4 weeks ago. In my opinion these are rare sets of each series: blue: 113, 115, 118, 119, 164, 166, 167, 183, 722 grey: 7720, 7727, 7730, 7740, (...) (24 years ago, 16-Apr-01, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Pics: JAC Bethgon Coalporter

(...) It sure is purdy! I'll have to add this to my list of thing that I should probably try to copy. The ribs are offset by 1/2 stud? Did you go 9 so you could get that centerline support beam in the right place? Chris P.S. I don't think I'll ever (...) (24 years ago, 16-Apr-01, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Pic: New Green Building

Actually, that's not what I was saying. In this particular instance, one can see into the building. And the ones next to it that are full of activity. If you can't see in, I'd agree that there is no reason to do the detailing unless one wants. (...) (24 years ago, 16-Apr-01, to lugnet.trains.org)
