The most expensive train set ever has been the 7750 MISB: it went for over 4000
DM (1800 .. 1900 $) 4 weeks ago.
In my opinion these are rare sets of each series:
blue:
113, 115, 118, 119, 164, 166, 167, 183, 722
grey:
7720, 7727, 7730, 7740, 7750, 7760, 7810, 7815
9V:
(4536) 4547, 4551, 4558
not rare are the following:
blue:
120, 123, 131, 137, 147, 721, 725, 727
grey:
7735, 7745, 7755, 7813, 7817, 7818
9V:
4543, 4544, 4559, 4563, and all sold during the last 5 years....
