  Engine 5 Firehouse

Hello, I've finished my most recent firehouse, that of FDNY Engine 5 on E. 14th Street in Manhattan. I got over there on Saturday and took a picture of the real thing as well. I may try to do that for the other firehouses in my gallery. Here is a (...) (18 years ago, 26-Sep-06, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.town)

  The Hall of Justice

Anyone here remember the Super Friends? Superman? Batman? The Wonder Twins? Okay - anyone remember their clubhouse? (URL) Yes, for some strange reason I decided to use up just about every white brick in my collection to recreate (URL) Hall of (...)   Town and Train at NWBrickCon 2006

NWBrickCon 2006 is fast approaching. The space for Town and Train in the Expo Hall will be large (16'x29') but is already filling up and I need to know what will be there. Contact me at the above (despamblocked) address to let me know what you will (...) (18 years ago, 25-Sep-06, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.town, lugnet.events.nwbrickcon)

  Re: LAFD, NYPD minifig-scale models

--snip-- (...) Hi Steven (and Jonathon), Sorry for the delay but I've been on holidays for a while. Thanks for your comments. I'll probably finish it off sometime, although my main interest was in getting the front done right. Complicated shape with (...) (18 years ago, 13-Sep-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Ten House...

(...) Agreed. That mosaic is really nice. Stickers too! I have been thinking of adding Ten House to my collection of NYC Firehouses, but I am still hesitant to do it, unfortnately . . . Not to hi-jack this thread, but, coming soon from me are (...) (18 years ago, 12-Sep-06, to lugnet.town)

PSLTC Displaying at Western Washington Fair September 8--24

Every year the Western Washington Fair in Puyallup invites a train club to display at the Fair. This year that club is the Puget Sound LEGO Train Club (the first L-guage club so featured since the PNLTC displayed in 1999). The PSLTC has a 32'x15' (...)   Ten House...

I don't know who built/posted the pics on brickshelf, but I like the mosaic design of the truck. Also, since it is Ten House, virtually destroyed by the 9/11 disaster in NYC, I thought I'd highlight it here. linkage: (URL) got to visit 10 house on (...) (18 years ago, 12-Sep-06, to lugnet.town)

  Re: LAFD, NYPD minifig-scale models

(...) Hi Tim, I am so glad you picked up on this. I just knew you'd have an incredible take on it. I can't say enough, I am just stunned. I was able to get some building time in last night, but quickly realized this: I make pretty good buildings. My (...) (18 years ago, 8-Sep-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: Rusty Freight Car - an experiment

(...) I can see the idea of this, but I'd take it further. The white is very bright and contrasts too much with the very dark rust colours. I'd lose the stripe (or use a different colour entirely - sand blue?) and swap the white for something (...) (18 years ago, 8-Sep-06, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.town, lugnet.build.schleim, FTX)

  Re: LAFD, NYPD minifig-scale models

  Re: LAFD, NYPD minifig-scale models

(...) Steven, you are truly the master of the minifig fire and rescue apparatus. The detail and scope of your work is amazing. I think you should try to move the front axles of your SuperDuty chassis trucks forward a stud or two to more properly (...) (18 years ago, 7-Sep-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)
