  Re: Theater, Bookstore, and Park

(...) Dude!!! That is AWESOME!!! The theatre is sooooo cool! There so much chrome! How'd you make the spotlights and sign? Some disassembled pics would be much appreciated. The vacant blue/grey store and the fountain look cool too. Nathan Wells (22 years ago, 9-Feb-03, to lugnet.town)

(...) the bookstore. It looks like there may be a missing '/' on the end of some of the FTX links, though. Try clicking on the bookstore or the theatre from your main page. Cary (22 years ago, 8-Feb-03, to lugnet.town)

  10041 Main Street Stickers

Can anyone tell me where the stickers with the numbers 4 and 5 go? I have looked over the instructions and box several times and can't find the proper home for them yet. My only guess is the 1x2 tile up on the desk on the upper floor of the car (...) (22 years ago, 8-Feb-03, to lugnet.town)

(...) Excellent- and there it is! (URL) I'd forgotten that the body was made of silver bricks too. -- Tony Hafner www.hafhead.com (22 years ago, 8-Feb-03, to lugnet.town)

(...) I think it was done by Kevin Loch some time ago. Look in his Brickshelf folder. ____ (22 years ago, 8-Feb-03, to lugnet.town)

  Re: MOC: Another little car

(...) Nice work again! I'm not entirely convinced of the benefits of having the grill protuding in front of the bumper... but you certainly have come up with a nicely rounded (pun intended) car. Cheers Richie (22 years ago, 8-Feb-03, to lugnet.town)

  Re: MOC: Another little car

(...) How cute! I really like this lil' car. Is there a provision for a pull back motor in this model? Some nice deail work, and CURVES! very nice! Good job! Joe Meno (22 years ago, 7-Feb-03, to lugnet.town)

  Re: MOC: Another little car

(...) Very cool little car... I will be using some of those ideas to make a 6 or 8 wide vehicle surely. I couldnt help but noticed you posted that at around 3am Aus time - get some sleep dude! Argh, I am just jealous... Well done, Robert. (22 years ago, 7-Feb-03, to lugnet.town)

Re: Joe's Donuts is open for business!

Tony, Great model. That roof design looks great, and the color scheme is very striking and very remniscent of fast food chains. I also like the little flip-up counter. That's a detail I wouldn't have remembered to include, so my minifigs would have (...) (22 years ago, 7-Feb-03, to lugnet.town)

Re: Joe's Donuts is open for business!

(...) Do you mind sharing which shop or shops are the best for finding unusual parts? I noticed a couple of these shops last year at BricksWest, but it was right before closing and I didn't have time to look for cool parts. I also remember there (...)   Re: Joe's Donuts is open for business!

(...) The chrome bits are usually used to add tiny accents (ie tailpipes), but can be really cool in quantity. I'd love to have a whole town filled with these lampposts, but I don't expect I'll get to do that. I remember seeing a train a long time (...) (22 years ago, 7-Feb-03, to lugnet.town)

Re: Joe's Donuts is open for business!

(...) Heh, that's a trade secret. Actually, there's a little shop in Legoland California that sells by weight and occasionally has some rather unusual parts. When I saw those tiles, I knew exactly what I was going to do with them. -- Tony Hafner (...) (22 years ago, 7-Feb-03, to lugnet.town)

Re: Joe's Donuts is open for business!

(...) Legoland's finest have to keep their sugar source secure! Ever since the WTO conference in Seattle a few years back, I've wanted a good excuse to use some cops in riot gear. A donut shop is a little iffy perhaps, but it works and is socially (...) (22 years ago, 7-Feb-03, to lugnet.town)

Re: Joe's Donuts is open for business!

(...) Thanks! Yes, I have to admit some inspiration from Pizza Hut. Though it seems like a number of other large chains also use a similar roof shape. (...) Yes, the sign is two studs thick and the back half is studded to the roof plates. As you've (...) (22 years ago, 7-Feb-03, to lugnet.town)

  MOC: Another little car

Hi again. I'm really getting into these little cars. Those wheels from the wee pull-back motor sets just cry out to be used. Again, I'm reduced to CADding it up to get anything like a decent picture. This one's a two seater cabriolet, built after I (...) (22 years ago, 7-Feb-03, to lugnet.town, lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Joe's Donuts is open for business!

mmmm... donuts. Sorry. I just had a Homer moment. I am particularly envious of your pile of chrome pipe pieces, of which I have exactly NONE. waaaaah! As usual, apart from the overall classiness, your model is loaded with neat little touches that (...) (22 years ago, 7-Feb-03, to lugnet.town)

Re: Joe's Donuts is open for business!

(...) I like it. I especially like the roof and the lamp posts (I wish I had some of those silver bits :) Where in gods name did you get all the 2x2 round tiles in green? (22 years ago, 7-Feb-03, to lugnet.town)
