Re: New MOCs: City street vendors

(...) ooo! These are just about perfect! I really like them. Right down to he unshaven vendor. The scale is great too, compared to 4wide & 6wide vehicles. Time to put on another pot of coffee & get to work on some street vendors! Thanks for (...) (22 years ago, 6-Jul-02, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Slot Car Project

Greg, Yeah, I think this will be an excellent project. I think Lego is potentially headed down the same path with some of the new race sets. The pull back motors and tracks are pretty close to the old Hot Wheels tracks. The reason why I was thinking (...) (22 years ago, 6-Jul-02, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Slot Car Project

(...) Hi Ed, Interesting idea, I work at a motorracing collectables store and we sell 1/32nd and 1/24th scale slot cars for plastic tracks. I just looked and without actual testing it looks like one of the brands we carry uses a "foot" (guide rail (...) (22 years ago, 5-Jul-02, to lugnet.town)

  Slot Car Project

Anyone know of past projects at making Lego slot cars? Having had an old Tyco, HO scale set years ago, I am wondering about the possibility of modifying 1496 and 1497 into a motorized set? If memory serves, home-made slot track could be approached (...) (22 years ago, 5-Jul-02, to lugnet.town)

Re: New MOCs: City street vendors

(...) I suppose it is a good opportunity to promote this sausage vendors car (built by my sister, Katrine): (URL) really should see if it still exists, and make a drawing of it. Play well, Jacob (22 years ago, 5-Jul-02, to lugnet.town)

  New MOCs: City street vendors

All: Hi there. Last week or so, someone mentioned "street vendors" somewhere in a thread discussing Jonathan Lopes's new cityscape, and Jonathan asked me to post some pictures of the street vendors I have done. I built one about 4 years ago, one (...) (22 years ago, 5-Jul-02, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Burned-Out Building

(...) Wow, I haven't heard "klo" for an awfully long time. When I was a child, in my family, (my parents spoke german to keep secrets, english the rest of the time) it colloquially mean the actual porcelain toilet, or more generally, the room that (...)   Re: Burned-Out Building

(...) Thanks, Lindsay! As for the white ... do you know how hard it is to stain porcelain? Wait, forget I even asked that (*shudder*). And what, dare I ask, is a ... "klo"? I feel like I may kick myself for not picking up on this when I hear the (...) (22 years ago, 5-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.town)

  Re: Burned-Out Building

(...) Man, I've seen this before from the front, but getting a closer look at it, it's wonderful! The whites are a bit white--the klo really stands out--but that's only because the façade looks so very good in tan. The use of a crater plate, which I (...)
