Why not make monorail tunnels through the buildings? That´ll look futuristiac and cool. Or, you could have the monorail above the ground, with stations on top of the really big houses. Oh, now I want to build a city like this!! --Tobias (...) have (...) (25 years ago, 26-Oct-99, to lugnet.town, lugnet.build, lugnet.trains)

(...) <snip> (...) I don't think the design with the 1x1 with 5 studs is any better. Granted the base is a round 1x1, but the overall hydrant is still square. Most hydrants don't have connections on 4 sides, the most common hydrant design has two (...) (25 years ago, 23-Oct-99, to lugnet.town)

Legoville (Was Re: Fire Hydrant and Was Re: Legoville...)

I still like my fire hydrants better. Who ever heard of a rectangular fire hydrant? Round is the way to go. Well, I guess it really doesn't matter since I don't even have a Fire Department yet. In the event of a fire, sour grapes. On another note, I (...) (25 years ago, 23-Oct-99, to lugnet.town)

(...) I would say the 1x1 round goes on only three sides, hydrants usually only have three connections. See Jeff C's page for an alternate hydrant design: (URL) Foster (URL) (25 years ago, 21-Oct-99, to lugnet.town)

Re: Fire Hydrant (Was Re: Legoville...

I came up with my own makeshift fire hydrants last night. Here's my way of doing it - Take a 1x2 plate (the one with only one stud on top, in the center) and place a 1x1 plate on top of it. Then place a 1x1 cylinder and top it off with a 1x1 dot (or (...) (25 years ago, 21-Oct-99, to lugnet.town)

(...) An answer. Yes. Take the 5 stud 1x1 squares (best way to discribe them, 4 sides and top have studs, bottom has plate opening) and place 4 red 1x1 plates on it (3 sides and top). Then plant on a 1x1 red round brick. Presto, one fire hydrant. (...) (25 years ago, 20-Oct-99, to lugnet.town)
