  Re: Faile Street

(...) Good job! I like the patches of red brick on the grey building. I agree with Tim about the weeds and the washing machine (although I don't know anything regarding his statement about the latter). Keep it up! Jeffery Maceachern BS: (URL) (...) (19 years ago, 1-May-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Faile Street

(...) Thanks, very much! (...) You're right! Or, a cast iron bath tub or refridgerator (sp?). Here in NYC, the sanitation dept won't take the cast iron tubs and people tend to drop them off where ever (in open lots). I don't know how they lift them (...) (19 years ago, 1-May-06, to lugnet.town)

(...) --SNIP-- (...) Hi Jonathan, The more I see of your city the better I like it and that's starting from a very high level of appreciation. The only suggestion I can make is that you should have a broken down washing machine in the junk-filled (...) (19 years ago, 1-May-06, to lugnet.town)

  Faile Street

Hello! I have completed another street for my layout this weekend: (URL) The street name came from a street in the Bronx that was affected considerably during the 1970's and 80's. This creation only uses the name, though. It does not represent the (...) (19 years ago, 1-May-06, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.town) !!

Horseshoe Bend Rail Road - Rail Truck

I just finished a new rail truck that I am rather proud of: (URL) It is a color modified version of the Rio Grande Southern Motor #1 which currently resides in Colorado's Ridgeway Railroad Museum.   Re: Truck Cab

(...) Hi Tim, John and Thomas, Thanks for all the replies and thoughts. Yeah, blocky indeed. I am wishing there were a better 5 wide window option myself. I have considered cutting the 4 wide windscreens and making them into 5 wide. I have so many 4 (...) (19 years ago, 25-Apr-06, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Truck Cab

(...) I like it, especially in situ:-) I'd say that the windshield looks too tall, and the nose isn't tall enough. Maybe raising the hood a full brick, which would have the effect of decreasing the windshield height as well. Actually, were it me, I (...) (19 years ago, 25-Apr-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Truck Cab

(...) Hi Jonathan, I only just saw this today so it's a late response. I like the use of the fender parts and the overall design is quite sound but as Thomas said the windscreen looks a little blocky. My suggestion would be to go for a four-wide (...) (19 years ago, 25-Apr-06, to lugnet.town)

  Re: wooden synagogue

(...) Good question. I know that very few remain and that many of those are deteriorating. I don't know if any are protected as historical sites. Judy (19 years ago, 25-Apr-06, to lugnet.town)

Wow. I never knew such stuctures existed. Are the surviving ones under any kind of protection? F (19 years ago, 25-Apr-06, to lugnet.town)

  Re: wooden synagogue

(...) These are great Judy, was looking at them earlier today on brickshelf. I've always admired your ornate buildings and the amount of decoration you achieve with mostly basic bricks is really inspiring. cheers, Joseph (19 years ago, 24-Apr-06, to lugnet.town)

Re: FINAL Spamcake Diner™ Iteration (Dark Red:-d)

(...) It's been so long since I built it (five years ago???) that it's hard to remember. I do remember wanting to keep it pretty close to Tom's original design. I did widen it (of course;-) and augment the roof a bit, but other than that, I kept it (...) (19 years ago, 19-Apr-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: FINAL Spamcake Diner™ Iteration (Dark Red:-d)
