Its been so long since I built it (five years ago???) that its hard to
remember. I do remember wanting to keep it pretty close to Toms original
design. I did widen it (of course;-) and augment the roof a bit, but other than
that, I kept it pretty faithful to the original. I remember considering it, but
I think a plate-brick-plate sandwich would be too thick. Perhaps a 4 plate
sandwich would work, but I dont think that plate comes in yellow.
I just checked the original; I actually DID add that plate trim to the top,
though Im pretty sure that when Tom originally built the Diner, that curved
plate element didnt exist...
