  Re: LEGO on my mind

Erik Brok owns the site, and indeed it is wonderful. I can't wait for him to put some new stuff on. It's been a while since the last update..... Duq "David Arnon" <arnon@NOSPAMsilicon-value.com> wrote in message news:G7MJMt.5M@lugnet.com... (...) (...) (25 years ago, 23-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Technics Scale STAP.

(...) Wow, that's pretty sweet... Cool model. I think I agree with you there, it needs to be a bit taller. Battle Droids only crouch slightly on a STAP, they usually look like they're standing up. I'd say increase the height by about 3 maybe 4 (...) (25 years ago, 23-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.starwars)

  Technics Scale STAP.

Hey all, Just added some pics of my newest creation. (URL) not exactly color-coordinated right, but brown is hard to come by. Also, after looking at it, I think I'm gonna add a brick or to to the height, under the engines. -Kleric (25 years ago, 23-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.starwars)

  LEGO on my mind

If you are not familiar with the "LEGO on my mind" sight, I just re-visited it and I must say this is an amazing place - simply a 'must visit'. I especially like the 'thoughts' section: (URL) word there is worth reading. Does anyone know who owns (...) (25 years ago, 23-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: 4.5-volt Technic motor

(...) 12v didn't require those darned batteries... if you already had a 12v transformer it would be a waste of money (if you check out the image of the 880 set, you'll notice it has the special plug meant for the 12v transformers) LEGO even adapted (...)   Re: Technic Aeroplane

I took a second look at it. when you put on the upper plates (pic 6) it's hard to see the gear, but in pics 3,4,5 it's quite obvious - three gears inside the inner box, one of them connected to the same axle as the pulley (making left-right movement (...)   Re: Technic Aeroplane

Hey there again!! Eeek, your right, the instructions do show three gears in the inner box. The one that should be removed is the gear on the 'fixed' side - the side that has four gears on the outside. Cheers, and thanks for pointing it out, Martin. (...)   Re: Technic Aeroplane

Hi, Umm... I had a quick look at the instructions again, and there are only two gears in the inner box as there should be. Your right that three gears would make movement immposible! Bye, Martin (...) (25 years ago, 23-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Technic Aeroplane

Hi, Thanks for the comments. I spent many hours trying to figure out a design for a joystick. Eventually I found a web page where someone had already got a working model. My design is based on that, but made much smaller. The original design is at: (...) (25 years ago, 23-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Question about shocks

(...) Get this: Walmart.com lowered the prices on the Silver Champion to 28 bucks! That's when they sold out. I should have ordered 2! Rob Bryson (25 years ago, 23-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic)

Yeah, the springs on these yellow shock absorbers are much stiffer than the normal ones. Although on the Silver Champion, even they are not enough to hold up the chassis properly (sometimes when it is pushed down, it stays down). They work quite (...) (25 years ago, 23-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic)
