  Re: 8462 Mods..

(...) Cool...I did something very similar with an 8462 as well. The set seems to have all the pieces needed for a "claw truck"; too bad the alternate model isn't something like this... (...) Yes, I would highly recommend that one ( (URL) ). (...) (25 years ago, 15-Jan-01, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.technic)

Re: flex parts, where can you get them?

(...) 8074 and 8485 have lots of these parts but can be somewhat hard to come by. Your best bet at the moment would probably be the 8479 Barcode Multi-set (I think this is still available). The 8457 Power Puller also has two small lengths of flex (...) (25 years ago, 15-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic)

  BIG crane now in english

Hi all, a few weeks ago Dennis Bosman's site was mentioned. I just visited and noticed he's translated the pages about his 4.2 meter high crane in english. Just to let you know.... Duq (25 years ago, 14-Jan-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.technic)

Re: flex parts, where can you get them?

(...) 8479 barcode truck has a lot of flex, if you can find it somewhere. 8008 stormtrooper should have one too, but mine was missing the cable, anybody else had that problem? (I didn't get around to call LEGO service yet.) Jürgen (25 years ago, 14-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: 8462 Mods..

(...) Yes, it's used exactly like this in 8868. The advantage is that you can nicely fasten the tubing with 1x1 tiles with clip ((URL) Jürgen Stuber <stuber@loria.fr> (URL) (25 years ago, 14-Jan-01, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.technic)

  Re: question about tubing

  Re: question about tubing

Re: flex parts, where can you get them?

(...) 8002 Destroyer Droid and 8008 Stormtrooper. Perhaps there are even more of the current sets which have them? Fredrik (25 years ago, 14-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: question about tubing

(...) It's the tubing from the 8002 Destroyer Droid (in brown) and the 8503 Scuba Slizer (in yellow). These sets have the rubbery, sloppy tubes. Virtually all other Technic sets have the plastic tubes which are much less flexible. Fredrik (25 years ago, 14-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic)

  question about tubing

I have 2 different kinds of tubing in my collection. One lind is a stiff tube that holds its shape a bit when bent. The other kind is a very flexable tube that dosnt feel like ABS at all. It feels more like a rubbery sort of palstic. Can anyone tell (...) (25 years ago, 16-Jan-00, to lugnet.technic)

  8462 Mods..

I added a Pneumatic Claw ( like the Airtech claw rig ) to my 8462 secondary model today, and learnt something very useful. The older flex tubing, like that is used in the 8462, is very handy when used as tubing extenders. I used two pieces running (...) (25 years ago, 14-Jan-01, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.technic)

  Just got 8007/C3PO

I made a stop by Target today to make sure they hadn't lowered their clearance prices anymore, and they had the 8007 C3PO. $29.97. I just got through assembling the set.   Pre-1995 strong pieces/attachments
