Nothing particularly clever... but it should be possible to "tune" one of
the electric motors and play notes from an arbitrary scale on it. The faster
you drive the motor, the higher the frequency emitted, and vice versa. This
works really well with stepper motors (even the ones in floppy disk drives),
but should work to an extent with DC motors as well.

| Has anyone made a musical instrument out of Lego? I've searched around and I haven't seen anything. I'm not sure what sort could be made. Lego isn't air-tight enough for a wind instrument, it damps out vibration, it has nothing bell-like, no obvious (...) (24 years ago, 30-Nov-00, to lugnet.technic)
