  Re: Rant...

I fully agreed with you. Ofcourse Lego may make such sets but not as a replacement for the "old-style" sets. Maybe they should make every year a model for the "old childs"? (A nice Technic set with a lot of gears and nice mechanism) A few month ago (...) (25 years ago, 29-Oct-00, to lugnet.technic)

(...) Difficult. But I try it. #8448 #8459 #8480 I like #8458 also. It is a nice model but has too few technic. Eelco Kooiker (URL) (25 years ago, 29-Oct-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Rant...

It went all wrong when they replaced the technic connector toggle joint by those 6 angle connectors. Where with 2 standard pieces you could make every angle you want, where now you could have a hundred #3 angle connectors spare and just need one #2 (...)   Re: see through springs from the supercar

Just ring your nearest Lego service centre (see your catalogue), and tell them that you require replacements and they will ship them to you. Lego know that these parts are faulty in some sets, they just can't tell you which ones. Martin ----- (...) (25 years ago, 29-Oct-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Rant...

I wholeheartedly agree with you here...the newer Technic lines aren't moving the right direction. I think that the last relatively complex set was the 8446 Crane Truck, which packet a good amount of functions into a medium-sized package. But aside (...)   Re: see through springs from the supercar

I also have a broken one of those; how did you get it replaced? Do you have to email Lego's tech support department? (25 years ago, 29-Oct-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Rant...

Let me begin by stating that I think Lego is one of the best companies on the planet. My experience with them is that they make an excellent product which they stand behind with spectacular customer service. They also usually listen to customer (...) (25 years ago, 29-Oct-00, to lugnet.technic)

Re: What is with the Technic Stormtrooper?

(...) Vanishing from technic since at least 1996. It's okay, in my mind, as long as it all remains compatible. Duplo -> System -> Technic. (And -> Znap, but that's not exactly the same progression.)   Re: see through springs from the supercar

I rang Lego Australia and asked how I could tell if I had faulty ones. They said the only way to tell was that if they broke after a few uses they were faulty. The problem is that I have some sets that are still sealed in the box, so I can't tell if (...) (25 years ago, 29-Oct-00, to lugnet.technic)

Re: What is with the Technic Stormtrooper?

(...) True, true (like in the Wassup ad) There are several problems that now plagues the Technic Sets (yes I am a fan and yes I will own those two). First: where are the studs? This is how a Lego brick is recognized worldwide. Bring back the studded (...) (25 years ago, 29-Oct-00, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.technic, lugnet.year.2001)

  Re: Square 9v battery box

(...) You're talking about the 4x8x3ish battery box? It comes in a ton of sets (most of the "light and sound" sets have it, the three monorail sets have it, one of the ZNAP sets has it, and probably a bunch more. Frank (25 years ago, 29-Oct-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Square 9v battery box

Hi. I just looked in one of the spare parts catalogs in a set I have, and it has a small(er) battery box that looks like it takes one of those square 9v batteries. Is there such a thing? What set(s) does it come in? Thanks ROSCO (25 years ago, 29-Oct-00, to lugnet.technic)
