Mike --
I don't know how much help this will be, but here are some thoughts...
1. Air cylinder is not essential -- you can pump air directly into the pnumatic
cylinders. I kind of prefer this for some applications because it gives a slower, more
"pneumatic" feel to the movement, rather than having the piston whizz in or out to its
full extent.
2. You can conserve tubing by using the "drink straw" parts (the thinner, fairly rigid,
smooth ones, rather than the more flexible, ribbed ones). The drink straw parts fit
nicely through the holes in Technic beams and you only need flexible tubing to make the
corners.
Cheers

| Jonathan (...) Sounds OK to me, what are you using to pump air directly into the pneumatic cylinders? Have you got some sort of electric pump (maybe a homegrown Lego one), a bicycle pump ...?? I quite like the idea of a Lego pump powered with some (...) (25 years ago, 4-Nov-99, to lugnet.technic)
