  Mini-review: 8457 Power Puller

I have just finished building this. It is not as bad as I thought it was going to be. Unlike most new Technic models, this one is build using mistly traditional components: There are a few bent beams, flexi-axles and other new parts but by and large (...)   Re: Mini-review: 8457 Power Puller

Thank's for your mini-review and the instruction-scan in your database. When I look at the instruction-scan I get some questions: * Is the Technic-figure included? Or is it like #8458 just on the cover? * Can the puller steer? If yes, how does it (...) (24 years ago, 27-Aug-00, to lugnet.technic)

(...) From the images I have seen, it appears to have flex system steering, much like 8445 and 8437. Please not that this is merely educated guessing: I do not possess the set myself. Fredrik (24 years ago, 27-Aug-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Mini-review: 8457 Power Puller

I missed the original post, but FWD pullers wouldn't work well. There's several things that are better about RWD for this type of competition. Natural torque caused by the drive wheels causes them to want to lift the front end, lessening their (...) (24 years ago, 28-Aug-00, to lugnet.technic)
