| | | | | (...) The number of thread has to be an integer. If not, you could not been able to use multiple worm gear on a same axle. And the thread pitch is determined from the straight gears pitch. Another way of putting it is that if you want to multiply align (stack) worm gears, the number of times the thread goes around the worm gear has to be an integer (or since (...) In my case I needed the precision, but I also needed a very compact implementation *and* it had to mount to an NXT motor: (URL) pretty happy with the design, but the slop really needed to be compensated (...)
