From what Ive seen in the pics, the tow truck looks like it has only 1
pneumatic piston. That doesnt look very impressive.

The fact that it only has one piston is not impressive but the truck itself
is very impressive. However, if that one piston can lift a lego truck of the
same scale then it is a good design.
It is interesting that although TLC typically models their designs off of
European machines, that truck looks very American. (Maybe it is a European
truck design that I am not familiar with but it looks like the American
designs in the 1980s).
This will be a good set to build and then leave together permanently!

I would agree with leaving the tow truck together - and the dust should be
easier to wipe off the studless beams! Looking at at the tractor set, my first
impressions of it is that it has a very modern look. My first contact with
Technic was with 8859 which had rear lift arms, PTO shaft and 2 cylinder engine.
I really do wonder if TLC have progressed much further with this one. I dont
think it has a pivoting front axle or 4wd. One last question: Why do TLC insist
on using so many different coloured small pins and axles?
