I saw links to that site a few days ago on the eurobricks forum, but I wasn’t sure what Lugnet’s leaks policy is these days ... ???

I know it used to be a pretty sensitive issue ... *remembers a bit of a furore surrounding leaked pics from marzdistribution a few years ago* ...

So, I decided to do a little digging around and found a new crane, the 8288.

Here’s a pic of it:

Anyhow, I’ve not posted here for a while, but these sets look very promising ... that crane looks very cool, if not as impressive as some MOCs out there, but that’s understandable - they have a price point to stick to!

I’ll certainly be getting it, and the tow truck too for sure, and probably the fire truck ... and ... eeek!

There are links to several other new pics of 2006 sets that I hadn’t seen before ... and I’m pretty darned excited at the year ahead ... will have to work extra hard to get an adequate budget!

Has anyone seen the first three 2006 technic sets (8281-3) on sale in the UK/Europe yet? They were slated for a Jan 12th release on Amazon UK, but since their non-appearance on that date (evidently *somebody’s* error) amazon.co.uk now shows them as just ‘not in stock or discontinued’ and there’s been no sign of a release date on lego.com ...

I note that 8281 and 8282 are available on amazon.com but 8283, which is a really nice looking little set, is not even listed ... grrrr!

I also found a better pic of the 8674 1:8 scale Ferrari F-1 racer (looks it could be more along the lines of the 8458 Silver Champion).

At approx. $175 US (36,438 Hungarian Forint), this better be loaded with features!

Adr.

Looks like another evolution of the Silver Champion / Williams F1 set, so I’d say it will have engine, steering, suspension and an open-up engine cover ... :) I’ll bet the chassis is almost identical.

It looks like the body shape and detail has evolved successively away from the Silver Champ - there’s evidently a fair bit more changed over that model than with the Williams, which basically only changed colour and had more flat surfaces for stickers.

Wonder whether it will be a V10 or a V8 though ... if it’s supposedly a representation of the 2006 race car, then a V8 would now be accurate ... I’m sure I’ll end up getting it either way ...

(As an aside, I wonder if Lego will make a minifig of Ferrari’s new race driver, Felipe Massa, for completeness ... can’t see a racers related NG to add a FUT to though ...)

Chris.
