  Re: It's not fair

(...) There are various stratergy's a dodgy roofer might employ. He may try and charge for you fixing somthing he broke himself. or for somthing that isn't broke that he hasn't actually fixed. or for somthing that was broke but that he hasn't fixed. (...)   Re: New Parts

(...) I've thought of another part: curved beams. Take a beam (traditional or studless) and bend it about an axis perpendicular to its length. For example, you could have two different radii so that curved train track could be supported under both (...) (23 years ago, 3-Apr-02, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: It's not fair

(...) 1) What is a roofer? *remembers dictionary.com* "One who lays or repairs roofs." Hm, you had a roofer come to visit or did you have to fix what a roofer failed to fix? 2) What wrong thread? (...) What votes? I can't see any votes for Steve (...) (23 years ago, 3-Apr-02, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Orrery gear train

(...) I wondered as I was working out my own table if someone hadn't already done it! Very useful (it needs an addendum to include the 56-tooth turntable) He uses old 14-tooth bevel gears back-to-back in several trains. I'm having to make do without (...) (...) posted that same idea first. And you got it in the wrong thread :) All my Motec votes will now go mysteriously missing :) Just having some fun :) Steve (23 years ago, 3-Apr-02, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: MOC: crawler crane

(...) Instead of T.J's largest crane competition, we could have a smallest crane competition. I might have to follow up my bulldozer with a crane compatible in size. Rules should of course be kept as simple as possible, The only function's you'd (...) (23 years ago, 3-Apr-02, to lugnet.town, lugnet.technic)

FUT changed/set to lugnet.technic (...) :) It's a nice crane you got there Rosco! I really like the new approach with Minifig scale! And that studless design on the crawler base is just in fashion!   MOC: crawler crane

Hi all, As Dennis, Jennifer, T.J. and others have the big technic crane scene pretty much sown up, I decided to go in the other direction, and bring a fully functioning crane to the minifig scale, for all those large town lifting jobs. So here it (...) (23 years ago, 3-Apr-02, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.town, lugnet.technic) !

(...) No, look at the MOC's in the same account: (URL)I think if we're going to post our opinions somewhere, it ought to be here (...)   Re: DETAILS: 8011 Jango Fett & 8012 Super Battle Droid

(...) Okay, so I'll just have to go to UK then :) Perhaps I could get put rowing boat into the ocean via some rivers and then row down to England :) Sounds awesome though, not the rowing part, but going to an UK meeting :) /Tobbe (URL) (23 years ago, 3-Apr-02, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: New Parts

(...) I remembered the 1/2 pin today, I usually attach the half beams with a mixture of 3/4 and 1/2 pins. Makes them fit better. /Tobbe (URL) (23 years ago, 3-Apr-02, to lugnet.technic)

  RE: New Parts

(...) robots when I can't be bothered to put in idler wheels - would be better though if you could get some that were flat (and different sizes) not domed, as you can't make nice large areas by abutting them. (23 years ago, 3-Apr-02, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: New Parts

Hi, Impressive work! I would like lego to manufacture a motor similar to the 2 supplied with mindstorms, but which utilizes a female conection with the axels apposed to the curent male setup.   Orrery gear train

I'm building an orrery and came up with this gear train for the earth and moon. The ratio is 1:27.7777 which is as close as I could come to the actual orbit of the moon, which is 27.32268 days. That's about 1.6% difference, or about 11 hours over (...) (23 years ago, 3-Apr-02, to lugnet.technic)
