  Re: New Parts

(...) Of course you could just cut up larger beams. The same goes for a 1x2 studless beam (see my list). I'd certainly like Lego to make these parts, it saves me the time of doing it myself. But in the meantime, I'll be chopping, cutting, grinding, (...) (23 years ago, 3-Apr-02, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Couldn't resist bringing this to your attention(s)

(...) Isn't the attempt to use it as a forum for text rather than LEGO in violation of the spirit, if not the word, of Brickshelf's rules? --Bill. (23 years ago, 3-Apr-02, to lugnet.publish, lugnet.technic)

(...) I bet whoever put that up is a closet Bionicle fan. I think if we're going to post our opinions somewhere, it ought to be here on Lugnet. (that way we can flame them if we don't like them ;-) TJ "just being silly" Avery (23 years ago, 3-Apr-02, to lugnet.technic)

(...) Even so, you may want to out it in lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade because that's where all the buyers and traders are. (23 years ago, 3-Apr-02, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

  Re: New Parts

I never thought of it..but a friction version of the dark grey pin is an awsome idea. I find when building with straight liftarms, its very hard to create solid connections. The liftarms dont contain studs or axle holes in which to make them (...) (23 years ago, 2-Apr-02, to lugnet.technic)

Re: DETAILS: 8011 Jango Fett & 8012 Super Battle Droid

(...) We have a bulk vendor in our local group as well. We call him "Uncle Dan". He buys massive amounts of LEGO from all over, but he doesn't play with 'em. He sells speciality parts like Technic separately but regular LEGO gets dumped out on the (...) (23 years ago, 2-Apr-02, to lugnet.technic)

  RE: New Parts

(...) Why? Couldn't you just cut the end off 1x4 and 1x6 beams? Seems like you're not applying the same logic as for my request for the pins? But who cares? This is just for fun / light entertainment isn't it :-) William PS And the answer to "Why?" (...) (23 years ago, 2-Apr-02, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: New Parts

(...) Very impressive machining job on those parts John!!! I'm guessing you're using a CNC machine (computer numerical control), but I'm wondering what size the machine is? To machine plastic at a small scale you don't need much power, so I'm (...) (23 years ago, 2-Apr-02, to lugnet.technic)

  survey

Its now 18 days left of my survey! And I was hoping that the interrest in it would have been alittle bigger, all though Im not sure what I will do with the result, but Im sure we all can think of something. So, please, take the survey, and let (...) (23 years ago, 2-Apr-02, to lugnet.technic)

Re: DETAILS: 8011 Jango Fett & 8012 Super Battle Droid

(...) I think you'll find many uses once you know the part actually exists and you own a few. Truthfully, I've only come across a few times when I've thought that a 1x2 liftarm would be useful. But now that I have a few of them, I'm using them all (...) (23 years ago, 2-Apr-02, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: New Parts

Well, I guess I'll jump in now and present my list of wants: A decent socket for the towballs. I think the towball is an under-utilized part because there's a lack of decent parts with socket receptacles. For example, take the end of this part: (...) (23 years ago, 2-Apr-02, to lugnet.technic)

Re: DETAILS: 8011 Jango Fett & 8012 Super Battle Droid

(...) A project I'm working on could sure use them to decrease bulk a tad, but that would restrain my budget. It's too early in the building stage to know if I'll keep the design as is or totally rebuild it. Other than this time I don't remember me (...) (23 years ago, 2-Apr-02, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: New Parts

(...) Why? The modification (i.e. the "fudged" part) works as desired and I'm definitely going to try it (thanks John). I don't have a Lego purist attitude (i.e. "I won't play with any part unless it's just as Lego made it") and I'm not going to (...) (23 years ago, 2-Apr-02, to lugnet.technic)
