Re: Challenge: Technic Model of the Month!

(...) NOTE: Stickers must be made by hand (or computer). Prefabricated stickers are not allowed (unless LEGO made them of course). /Tobbe (URL) (23 years ago, 15-Feb-02, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Single set Technic Power Pulling.

(...) Correct! I'd better update the info on this, thanks! /Tobbe (URL) (23 years ago, 15-Feb-02, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Challenge: Technic Model of the Month!

(...) Thanks! (...) Sounds like someone wants to enter with a crane of some sort .) This is something I did look by, let's see. String should be OK as long as it's not used to tie the pieces togheter, e.g. string from a spool to a crane hook for (...) (23 years ago, 15-Feb-02, to lugnet.technic)

  RE: Bucket

Hi, Can't (immediately) answer the question "are there any sets with the same size bucket as 8862 but in black" but I can confirm the bucket sizes from 8235, 8862 and 8464 (as I have all three sets, four buckets). The smallest yellow bucket in 8862 (...) (23 years ago, 15-Feb-02, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Challenge: Technic Model of the Month!

(...) Great idea Tobbe! A couple of questions / clarifications: 1. 100% pure lego is quite a restriction. The problems I'd have with that is string, rubber bands, and possibly weights and stickers (though I've never used stickers yet). Are such (...) (23 years ago, 14-Feb-02, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Challenge: Technic Model of the Month!

(...) <snip helpful code> Thanks! I'm going to use a form but that form will send the results to my e-mail rather then to a database using php or asp, that's what I meant :) Sorry for not being clear enough on this :) /Tobbe (URL) (23 years ago, 14-Feb-02, to lugnet.technic)

  Teaser 03

Lewa: Matau I'm going to take this to Vakama and Tahu and see what they have to say about it. Matau: Good, because after seeing all those destroyed Nui-Jaga I wouldn't want whatever that is after me.   Bucket

Hi According to (URL) bucket is in a black version to but I have the 8235 set and the black one is not the same size as the yellow one, it's smaller. Is there any set that has the black one in the same size as the yellow? A strong wish is to get my (...) (23 years ago, 14-Feb-02, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Single set Technic Power Pulling.

(...) This is worth thinking of, but as is I don't want mixes to keep the number of classes down. Perhaps with time there will be one class for two sets. Another class that would be rather fun is "one rule PP" with the one rule: 100% pure unmodifed (...) (23 years ago, 14-Feb-02, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Challenge: Technic Model of the Month!

(...) How about a grand prix style system? Using the three catagories in your rules Tobbe, detail, function and looks, list the month's entry's best to worse for each catagory. The entry coming top in detail gets five points for detail, second place (...) (23 years ago, 14-Feb-02, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Single set Technic Power Pulling.

(...) I thought about it and decided - no. There will be a lot of classes as is and even the motor expansion packs are welcome to enter :) /Tobbe (URL) (23 years ago, 14-Feb-02, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Challenge: Technic Model of the Month!

(...) Not _too_ little, just _so_ little - I hope :) (...) I'd say some old MOCs might still enter. (...) That's the plan, did I forget to mention? Ooops :) /Tobbe (URL) (23 years ago, 14-Feb-02, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Single set Technic Power Pulling.

Great idea! But I have an observation. Why not make it _just_two_ official lego sets. This permits an unmotorized set to be combined with 8735 for example or a motorized set to be added to a pneumatic set. I think the possible hybrids might be very (...) (...) number of possible sets. Obviously, sets with motors will be top choice, followed by sets with pneumatics. Will you allow the addition of 1 motor, and nothing else, to sets that don't come with one? In particular, the 4x4 off roader (set 8466) (...) (23 years ago, 14-Feb-02, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Challenge: Technic Model of the Month!

(...) So many contests! Too little time! This sounds really good, as it seems contests bring out some really good talent. And the number of Technic MOCs is quite few these days. The 23rd is a little close for this month, but is the contest on for (...) (23 years ago, 14-Feb-02, to lugnet.technic)
