Re: 2 speed gearbox for Silver Champion

(...) Yeah! I'm starting to run out of shelves! I was looking at replacing the silver panels with red ones from the 8448, turn it into a Ferrari, but you need 3 8448s (or hit brickbay) to do that! ROSCO (23 years ago, 16-Nov-01, to lugnet.technic)

(...) work. (...) Thanks and no probs! As I said, I think I can make an even neater version using a new-style diff, using the same idea, so stay tuned (or experiment yourself!) 8?) ROSCO (23 years ago, 16-Nov-01, to lugnet.technic)

Re: 2 speed gearbox for Silver Champion

(...) I did that with one of the big yellow gears from the 70's when I was a kid. Dad said I was silly for ruining my expensive LEGO, but at least I got to build a differential, and a really neat "octopus" ride! I wish I'd taken pictures... I also (...) (...) I must admit I was very disappointed that TLC have never done anything with this feature which must have been in their minds when they designed the gear.   Re: 2 speed gearbox for Silver Champion

Wow ROSCO. Very nice indeed. Since getting the 8448 and realising that there is a single ended version of the sliding dog clutch part, and that the gearboxes can do more than four gears I've been tryign to get a better understanding of how (...) (23 years ago, 16-Nov-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: You oughta be glad!

(...) I think I have to clearly agree with Matthew Gerber on this one. You need to post something a little more current. As for lego stop putting out Bionicle sets isn't true.   pneumatic T connectors in 8459/8464

Does this set come with any of the pneumatic T connectors? I'd assume so, since there are two cylinders. Thanks Adrian (23 years ago, 14-Nov-01, to lugnet.technic)
