  Re: Copper Masks

(...) My TRU here in Chicago delayed the promo till October 14... they said they were all gearing up to give away the copper masks this weekend, but it got pushed back for some reason. They even had signage reflecting the new date. Sort of a (...) (23 years ago, 10-Sep-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

Re: Bionicle Card Game and a question

(...) We like it. I wrote a review (URL) when we only had one deck. We have all three now, other than allowing you to have more players play there isn't much reason to get more than one deck, though... Note that there is a group just for Bionicle. I (...)   Bionicle Card Game and a question

I have seen the bionicle card game out in stores and in my cataloge; I'm curious, is it any good? I am leary to buy it, but it looks like it might be cool. Any opinions? Also, can you tell me: Do these different Bionicle charecters work together or (...) (23 years ago, 10-Sep-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Tohungas I converted to Turagas

These are 2 Tohungas I got at McD's. I wasn't really into the bendy throwing arms so I decided to convert them to Turagas. (URL) built the standard Turaga bodies but used the feet from the Mcdonald's toys. I also swapped out the mask on the blue one (...)   Torsen lsd revisited

Hi guys, Motivated by the recent thread about torsen limited slip differentials, I finally posted a couple of my LSD designs on my website: (URL) specifically, I came up with a torsen-like design that mimicks the functionality of a real torsen diff: (...) Well, if it's any consolation, the Toys R Us down the street from me (Clackamas, OR) pretty much always has mask packs in stock and they're (so (...)   Copper Masks & McDs

The TRU promotion ran pretty smoothly up in the North Seattle area. You had to go to Customer service at each one and request your masks. In most cases I carried 2 copies of the poster with me to reference. Ended up going to 4 different TRU stores (...) (23 years ago, 9-Sep-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

  Re: To certain inconsiderate twits...

Actually, I was in on TRU and saw a kid doing that. Let the manager know, and he walked over and took the kid to the info desk. Didn't see the exchange, but I think he was going to make the parent Uy all the boxes the kid had opened, or ones that (...) (23 years ago, 9-Sep-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

Re: Look what else I dug up

It probably was because I bought just the toy instead of the whole Happy Meal. I asked them for one of each, but the said the only had one (Onepu) and so I bought one of him for $1.06 (including tax I assume). Ian (...) (23 years ago, 9-Sep-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

  Re: Torsen Differential

(...) No problem. I've seen a lot of discussions on lugnet.robotics about Technic parts and construction. I wouldn't say that they belong exclusively in lugnet.technic, but rather in BOTH groups. I realize there are a lot of people who read .technic (...) (23 years ago, 9-Sep-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Onward to le-koro

(...) Look carefully at the scene around the blue "lightning bug" (is it an inferior kind of Rama, or does it have some other name??). There is a hexagonal "cell" darker than the others, on which you should be able to "click". That should start the (...) (23 years ago, 9-Sep-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

  Tohunga MOC

Unexpected MOC result: (URL) the comic book (ask for it) the Tohunga discuss the whys and wherefores of joining up their parts to make fusion versions. I guess sometimes the fusing can go awry. (23 years ago, 9-Sep-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

  McDonalds HM spotty availability

I don't think all Mickeys are in synch yet, I was at one in Lansing MI this lunchtime (on my way to a MichLUG/LTC meeting... we had a grand time!) and the one I stopped at still had Atlantis toys for theirs. (23 years ago, 9-Sep-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

  A Cute Bionicle Image

For some odd reason, I still check on rec.toys.lego every now and then, and I just found this image there, posted by one Christine Goff: (URL) don't know who to credit, and don't have permission to post this, and blah, blah, blah, blah...just enjoy (...)   Re: Look what else I dug up

(...) Really? Is anyone else missing the comics? That kinda' sucks... It may be a matter of asking at this point...my McDonald's kept the Happy Meal boxes open, and slipped the 7" X 4.25" comic into the boxes (I actually got shorted one, but didn't (...)   Look what else I dug up
