It probably was because I bought just the toy instead of the whole Happy Meal.
I asked them for one of each, but the said the only had one (Onepu) and so I
bought one of him for $1.06 (including tax I assume).

It may be a matter of asking at this point...my McDonald's kept the Happy Meal boxes open, and slipped the 7" X 4.25" comic into the boxes (I actually got shorted one, but didn't (...)
