Re: converting 8880 4 wheel drive to regular hubs

Wow Fredrik, that could be just what I'm looking for too! So the question is, how much does it increase the offset and how much dish is there in a Power Puller wheel? Lawrence, if this works I'll have four wheels off you if you have any left. Psi (25 years ago, 5-Jun-01, to lugnet.technic)

Re: converting 8880 4 wheel drive to regular hubs

(...) I haven't tried this myself, but here's a conversion courtesy of Jeff Boen: <URL:(URL) If it works the way it looks like, you may be able to retain all the functions of the 8880 suspension for normal wheels. The wheels will be offset more, (...) (25 years ago, 5-Jun-01, to lugnet.technic)

Re: converting 8880 4 wheel drive to regular hubs

(...) Basically you can add regular hubs at the expense of steering which is fine for one axle but at least one axle needs to steer doesn't it! You probably don't remember but I was playing about with a related problem when I considered buying some (...) (25 years ago, 5-Jun-01, to lugnet.technic)

converting 8880 4 wheel drive to regular hubs

I haven't pulled my 8880 apart yet, but was thinking of building a 4x4 using the 8880 running gear together with the large power puller wheels. Then I realised that the wheel hubs on the 8880 have a 'special' connection to the axles. Is there an (...) (25 years ago, 5-Jun-01, to lugnet.technic)

Re: WOHOO! I got an infected mask already!

(...) Are you sure ?!? A BLACK RAU ??? I hope that's a typo or else I will go crazy again! Do they release Turaga-shapes in Toa colours now? The salesman in Po-Koro wears one of the black Rau, but I thought it would be a virtual-only mask (like the (...) (25 years ago, 5-Jun-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

Re: WOHOO! I got an infected mask already!

I know i shouldn't do this here, but you can find the Bionicle Masks (about 50) for sale, each one at my Brickbay Store - UK - Edwards Parts You could try that to make your self complete? I myself have the complete set of masks but i don't have any (...) (25 years ago, 5-Jun-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

Re: WOHOO! I got an infected mask already!

I got a light gray Huna (Vakama's mask in Nuju's color), a black Miru (Lewa's mask in Onua's color), and a red Kaukau (Gali's mask in Tahu's color), plus the infected Hau. The masks come in a small box containing two masks plus an extra head, unlike (...) (25 years ago, 5-Jun-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

Re: WOHOO! I got an infected mask already!

(...) I think you should know, I hate you. I deeply, sincerely, from the bottom of my heart hate you. What other masks did you get? I'm planing on doing the same thing, so do you know how fast Lego Shop@Home delivers? (25 years ago, 5-Jun-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

Re: Bionicle finally in local US TRU

(...) Buy a webkit? BAHAHAHAHA! It's funny because you said something stupid. The TRU's in my area (Houston) have the Toa too, but not the Turaga or masks. (25 years ago, 5-Jun-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

WOHOO! I got an infected mask already!

I ordered the bionicle sets i didn't aleready have from the shop at home website, plus two mask packs. One of them contained an infected Kanoi Hau. Has anyone else in the U.S. found one yet? It would be cool if I was the first person in the U.S. to (...) (25 years ago, 5-Jun-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

  Re: Snow Comparison

(...) Turbo has a lot of teal on him, right? Maybe Amazon/Swamp/Lewa. You could also throw him in with Electro/Spark and go with the CyberSlam color scheme. On the other hand, Onyx/Onua will probably have a serious part shortage... (...) Well, the (...) (25 years ago, 4-Jun-01, to lugnet.technic.roboriders, lugnet.technic.slizer)

  Re: Bionicle Ostrich

(...) Oh... those are old and from when I thought the idea of Technic Bionicle figures was dumb, so I adapted the story to my liking in minifig form. That girl was going to take the place of Kopaka because at the time I really didn't like him. But (...) (25 years ago, 4-Jun-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

Re: Bionicle Trading Card Game URL

By an odd series of accidents, I was able to play the BIONICLE trading card game on Sunday. It was fun - it's very much a board game with collectable aspects. Each starter deck is non-random and made for two of the Toas, with one random mask for (...) (25 years ago, 4-Jun-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

Re: Bionicle finally in local US TRU

Ummm...I have a 'spare' webkit I can sell you...if you can't find one...really reasonable price too... Nah! I can't do it...it's too easy...   Re: Snow Comparison

(...) I agree. These "action figure" seem to thrive on psuedo re-makes of past lines. The Throwbots, though interesting, were completely inadequate as action figures. The Bionicals are the closest things to that end. Initially, when Throwbots came (...) (25 years ago, 4-Jun-01, to lugnet.technic.roboriders, lugnet.technic.slizer)

  Snow Comparison

As every one of us has by now noticed, Lego seems to think that every one of its "action figure" lines (yes, this is a stretch for RoboRiders, but it's not like I can think of a better description, and that *is* how they're marketed) will die (...)
