There has been a lot of grousinf about the current andrecent Technic line and I share some of those concerns. With more and more character or story driven sets falling under the Technic Rubric (i.e. Bionicle, Roboriders) sets focusing on (...) (24 years ago, 29-Mar-01, to lugnet.technic)

True, but i like to say Kit 8466 is 4 Wheel Drive, full suspension and V8 engine, also a gear box appears in the photo. Too many panels and not enough beams like the Space shuttle... Thanks for the link to the new kits. They both look interesting, however they still seem to not do much beyond roll across the floor (I smell a theme for this year). I guess I really am a product of the video game generation. I am really spoiled by (...) (24 years ago, 29-Mar-01, to lugnet.technic)

I would echo the sentiments of others who have replied. Save for the pneumatics pack from Lego Shop at Home, the Tow Truck is the best way to get started. Not only does it give you some great parts, it actually teaches you some very interesting uses (...) (24 years ago, 29-Mar-01, to lugnet.technic)
