  Re: Chipper

(...) Thanks for the link and the comments on the dump truck. Mine will hopefully have a straight path rather than diagonal, but that is the basic configuration. The stationary cylinder in the pics that you may be refering to is a shock absorber (...) (18 years ago, 15-Feb-07, to lugnet.technic)

  .NET Micro Framework released!

Microsoft released a micro version of the .NET Framework SDK today! Could we be writing C# code for the NXT, and unlike the Microsoft Robotics Studio, actually have that code run natively on the brick itself? Quick summary article: (URL) download (...) "Nathan Bell" <Radarbell@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:JDEyFG.A2x@lugnet.com... (...) Thanks for the link to your Dump Truck. That is beautiful! The attention to detail from the pirate to the mud flaps is just perfect. The air pumps are so (...) (18 years ago, 13-Feb-07, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Chipper

(...) Your website is very interesting- lots of machines that are not commonly built out of Legos such as the milling machine. The chipper will be configured like a large unit pulled behind a dump truck. The pics are just ideas shown in 3 modules. (...) (18 years ago, 13-Feb-07, to lugnet.technic)

"Nathan Bell" <Radarbell@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:JDD2oE.JA0@lugnet.com... (...) Hi Nathan, I did some Googleing and realized that chippers come in many configurations. My image was a very large unit hauled behind a dump truck. Yours (...) (18 years ago, 13-Feb-07, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Technic sidebar malicious behavior

(...) Exactly. Thank you Dave. Bob you also knew about this and want to see how much of a reaction this would stir. Ross, if you are going to play games as a curator, you should resign, or have your status revoked. yours, Eric Sophie ===...=== Sent (...)   Re: Technic sidebar thingie

(...) Have you tried contacting the curator of the group? (Assuming you're talking about broken links?) Otherwise, it would appear that the images for Eric Sophie's models (and ONLY Eric Sophie's models) were explicitly set to be a "broken" image: (...)   Re: Chipper

(...) Thanks Bob! Sorry if the design is vague. The back/top edge of the window piece has the sharpest (Lego) edge I could find, considering that the chips in a real chipper are supposed to be forced behind the blade and through the rotating wheel. (...) (18 years ago, 12-Feb-07, to lugnet.technic)

  Technic sidebar thingie

Seems to be some link problems with the Sidebar here. Do we need a Co-Curator? ;-) (18 years ago, 12-Feb-07, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

  Re: motor disassembly

(...) I bought a Znap set on eBay (my first!) and it also has an older 71427 motor that doesn't turn well. It works when powered but I don't think it's very happy. I, too, would like to know what I can do to get this motor to float the way it's (...) (18 years ago, 9-Feb-07, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.technic)

  Re: R/C skid steer test

(...) Hi Rob, You might consider using the auxilary output of the RC to control a gear shifter to select between "driveable" and "mad spining" modes... Using the polarity switch is brilliant! I tried a pure mechanical solution (the steering (...) (18 years ago, 9-Feb-07, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.technic)

  Re: R/C skid steer test

(...) Oh yes! it can steer when going forward. With the current gearing though, it spins out. I should try to drive the adder/subtractor input with an 8-tooth gear rather than the current 24 to slow the turning rate down. Though I suppose I couldn't (...)   Re: R/C skid steer test

(...) Nice! Can it steer while also moving forward, or does the switch work with just a 3-position action (turn right/go straight/turn left)? Could you also use 3 12-tooth gears for the side opposite the 2 24-tooth gears, or did you use the 2 (...) (18 years ago, 6-Feb-07, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.technic)

  Mechanical obstacle avoider 2

Here is another 100% mechanical "obstacle-avoiding rover". Like my previous attempt at: (URL) has only one motor and no electronics. This one is based on a simpler principle. The left and right sides operate independently - on each side the wheel (...) (18 years ago, 6-Feb-07, to lugnet.technic)
