  Re: color and number

(...) Usually, Lego parts are not painted, but rather the color comes from dyes in the ABS itself. Hope that helps. Andrew Meyer (19 years ago, 10-May-05, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Pneumatic steering

(...) Hi Vineet, Here is one way to do it: (URL) prototype was built when I was thinking of building an articulated truck. The same principle can be applied to any kind of steering where you need three positions. The key element is the controller: (...) (19 years ago, 12-May-05, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Pneumatic steering

(...) Up to now I've just moved the two levers of the input valves. My system uses 2 large cylinders facing each other. The steering arm moves 3 valves, which are offset from each other and two of which are pulled by rubber bands. Sorry I haven't (...) (19 years ago, 12-May-05, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Relative or absolute?

(...) My design will be functionally absolute, while being artistically relative. PS: Good question! (19 years ago, 12-May-05, to lugnet.technic)

  Pneumatic steering

How do you people set it up? Do you use those small pneumatic pistons for the steering? If not, then what? How is the system operated? Do you use a gear-operated valve? Do you have any LDraw designs that you could show me? (Sorry for the redundancy (...) (19 years ago, 12-May-05, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Relative or absolute?

(...) It's an interesting question, but what's much more important is that we have fun with our designs. Nate (19 years ago, 12-May-05, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Relative or absolute?

(...) Y'all are having too much fun! Eric Sophie had a good answer. There are either so many constraints that it is absolute or so little constraints that it is relative. (19 years ago, 11-May-05, to lugnet.technic)

(URL) which you will see, thanks to my good friend, Jeff VW, the dark grey version. But wait! There's more!!! I also, for no real reason, decided to maye a light bluish grey version (light bley to those of you who are LEGO colour challenged) And I (...)   Re: color and number

People- What I meant by color and number is: what type of white are those hubs painted, and is it possible to get that specific paint in a model store (hence the number)? (19 years ago, 9-May-05, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: color and number

And these from the 856 (URL) the roboriders wheels and the turbo racer wheels (URL) and watch out for the wheels comming off the 8420 later this year. Steve (19 years ago, 9-May-05, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: color and number

(...) That Visual Wheel Helper is a nice rundown. I wonder if it also worth indicating wether the LDraw part for that wheel exists yet - not all of them do annoyingly. Anyway - I also wanted to point out that you are missing the large technic tread (...) (19 years ago, 7-May-05, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Help with redesigning a Boat Lock

(...) Ah - hadnt thought of it like that. In which case- it would be worth using more than one set (gear+idler) for additional stability. Danny (19 years ago, 7-May-05, to lugnet.technic)
