  Re: New MOC: DYAD

(...) Unfortunately, I won't have time to do that before going on vacation. (...) Thanks...it was mainly meant as a Tecnic/Znap experiment, but of course it isn't a complete MOC vehicle unless there's a minifig inside it. --Bram (2 URLs) Bram (...)   Re: gear pulley/release system

(...) Thank you very much! (...) I don't see any reason why not to try it ;-) Off the top of my head, I can tell you that an RCX loaded with batteries is fairly heavy - maybe you'll need more springs and to pay carfeul attention to balance.   Re: YAPNQ

(...) Er.. re-reading that, I see that sounds kinda dumb. It sounds like I meant that you have to manually reset them. I actually only meant that the pistons can be reset by applying air pressure on the other side of all three pistons. >> Mark (21 years ago, 20-Jun-03, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: YAPNQ

(...) Egad! (insert pause for realization) And I'm back in the game! Well, rubber bands *are* cheaper'n switches, after all. :) My adder design doesn't *strictly* require rubber bands, but would require that all three pistons be "reset" at the end (...)   Re: YAPNQ

(...) Uhhhh..... You are worthy. I can create a full adder (A+B+Carry in) in three pistons, 17 switches (7+7+3) and no rubber bands. You win on switch count. I win on band count. Rereading my post I can see how I led you astray. Mark is worthy.... (...) (21 years ago, 19-Jun-03, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: YAPNQ

(...) Er... You can add 2 three bit numbers using that few components?!?!? (heavy sigh) Well... that totally blows anything away I think I could have come up with. My one-bit full adder (A+B+Carry in) alone used three pistons and 13 switches. I'm (...) (21 years ago, 19-Jun-03, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Ebay and the 8455 back hoe

(...) Bizarre! The bids are up to $172.50 at the time that I'm writing this! This is a current product that pretty much anyone anywhere should be able to order from LEGO for a lot less than that.   Ebay and the 8455 back hoe

This had to happen sooner or later. (URL) don't people just go to the lego web site and order this stuff? I see a few bidders are overseas.
