Re: Help!!! needed with set # 8538, Muaka and Kane-ra.

Hello Adrick, Although I don't have set 8538 I do have some general advice based on my own experience putting together complicated technic sets. The first thing I would do is go back through the instructions to see if you have assembled it properly. (...) (22 years ago, 27-Dec-02, to lugnet.technic)

(...) Wow. I have to say I'm very impressed by engineering of this model. It's reminiscent of Tamiya's radio-controlled "Bullhead" monster truck, but with the nice fact that the motors are located within the chassis and not beside the axles. I still (...)   Re: How to make a differential when you've got no one?

First of all 1wd car would be only one wheel running. But in the 8840 instructions both rear wheels are driving the engine and it is by definition a 2wheel drive car, but with a stiff rear axel. A true 1wd car would have only one wheel conected to (...) (22 years ago, 20-Dec-02, to lugnet.technic)

Re: R: How to make a differential when you've got no one?

Well... I checked Mike Fusion's thin differential ( (URL) ). It works fine... but it's simply too big!!!! So I had to think about a smaller diff that would work the same way... and that's what I got... using pulleys instead of 40-tooth gears and (...) (22 years ago, 21-Dec-02, to lugnet.technic)
