For some reasons, I never have enough 5u axles, so maybe a 12u axle are best, the newer type, and a sharp scalpell, cut the axle all the way round, and just snap it off. The ends will be flatt, so the axles are perfect. No sanding reqiured since (...) (22 years ago, 18-Sep-02, to lugnet.technic)

Hi i just signed up for this forum/newsgroup. mainly becuase i wanted to show off this design i've been working on. Its a front wheel drive system that has steering and fits into a 10 stud space (8 stud steering beams) It works quite well, has a (...) (22 years ago, 17-Sep-02, to lugnet.technic)

The panels are actually different parts, not just different colors. And the rear spoiler is different (uses tiles rather than panels). And for those who didn't buy the silver champion because we're poor (such as myself), the price is different. :-) (...) (22 years ago, 15-Sep-02, to lugnet.technic)

Try www.crash.net for any motor racing news. You don't miss much in the races. Find out the qualifying positions, that's usually pretty close to the 60-odd full speed parade laps that pass for a F1 race these days. Next round should be okay for you (...) (22 years ago, 14-Sep-02, to lugnet.technic)

It seems they are molded: if you look closely, there is a very thin line along the axle where halves of the mold join. The injection point is at one end. I suspect (but I'm not sure) that actually the mold has 4 parts, two for the axle itself, two (...) (22 years ago, 14-Sep-02, to lugnet.technic)

Speaking of the axles does anyone have any idea if LEGO make them with an extrusion mold or if they actually injection-mold each axle out of individual injection molds?
