  Re: Cheap storage outside US?

(...) Do you have Woolworth in Holland? In Germany, Woolworth doesn't offer the full LEGO product line, but they often have special offers and are in general cheaper than retailers. (24 years ago, 31-Oct-00, to lugnet.storage)

  Cheap storage outside US?

Any ideas for countries that don't have Walmart, K-mart and the likes? Especially Holland, as that's where I live.... Duq (24 years ago, 31-Oct-00, to lugnet.storage)

Re: LEGO organization on a budget. Is it possible?

Adam, I just started reselling these great units from Gould plastics called Slide-n-Lock. I didn't want to mention them until I got our website up for them, but they are the units that I use myself. Gould doesn't have any resellers that sell these (...) (24 years ago, 23-Oct-00, to lugnet.storage)

Re: LEGO organization on a budget. Is it possible?

Well I think I've settled on my storage medium. Gladware. The stuff is really cheap (about $0.75 for a 64 oz. container), stackable, and pretty gosh darn durable. Well now the sorting begins (ugh!). Adam (24 years ago, 21-Oct-00, to lugnet.storage)

(...) For the small bits, (and some larger bits) I use fishing tackle boxes. A bit more expensive, but very flexible. (24 years ago, 20-Oct-00, to lugnet.storage)

Re: LEGO organization on a budget. Is it possible?

The most inexpensive storage unit is the resealable plastic bag. You can buy these in snack, sandwich, quart and gallon sizes, usually 50 or 100 in a box for several bucks. You can store smaller bags in larger ones, so your gallon bag might contain (...) (24 years ago, 16-Oct-00, to lugnet.storage)

LEGO organization on a budget. Is it possible?

Here is my problem. I currently have four 18 gallon rubbermaid bins filled with PBB's. Unfortuantely, bulk rubbermaid storage makes small parts (and sometimes larger ones) a pain to find. So today after looking for a computer piece that I had only (...) (24 years ago, 15-Oct-00, to lugnet.storage)

what should I put my lego in?

I have just bought my first set since my DA, an 8448 supercar. I also have some smaller technic sets like the speed slammers red car and I want to know what I should put it in. I got myself a plano tackle systems 2 tray tackle box which will be good (...) (24 years ago, 13-Oct-00, to lugnet.storage)

Re: Good lightweight shelving for display?

(...) I finally got back to IKEA about a week ago. They had just enough IVAR shelving in stock in the size I wanted (7 foot tall, deep shelves), so I bought several hundred dollars worth of it. Oops. And I am very happy with the IVAR! My Lego room (...) (24 years ago, 12-Oct-00, to lugnet.storage)

  Re: Storing Instruction Manuals

Don't overlook the simple solution of hanging files in a file cabinet. They are 11.75 inches wide, so the instructions fit just fine. You can use manila folders inside the hanging files if you want to subdivide by size. This has the added advantage (...) (24 years ago, 24-Sep-00, to lugnet.storage)

RE: Clear Small Parts Boxes on Clearance @ Target

----So the dividers stay in better than the old Plano boxes? That would be great! Yes, the older ones just slip in, while the new one grip pretty snug the last 1/4" or so during insertion. Thanx, Mark Millère (24 years ago, 18-Sep-00, to lugnet.storage)

Re: Clear Small Parts Boxes on Clearance @ Target

(...) I just found "new" Plano 3700's at Lowe's that now have 48 divisions and the inserts stay in well. They are using a new label also. Odd though is they still label it a 4-24 box with only 24 dividers. They are also ~$1 cheaper then Wal-Mart or (...) (24 years ago, 18-Sep-00, to lugnet.storage)
