Star Wars Episode II trailer —Michael Perri
The subject says it so here is the link to view it. Most of it is stock movie footage but notice all the different actors like Jimmie Smits, Christopher Walken, and the the guy from End of Days too. I saw a woman with a purple light saber and the (...) (24 years ago, 19-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Star Wars Episode II trailer —Karim Nassar
(...) Interesting... though it's worth noting that this is either an extremely well-done hoax or a bootleg of something that shouldn't be out yet, as 1) It is very poor video quality, 2) no mention of Christopher Walken is made anywhere in the (...)          Re: Star Wars Episode II trailer —Karim Nassar
(...) One more I forgot: This file is a Windows AVI, and Lucasfilm is completely and publicly allied with Apple and Quicktime, and all of their previous video & image releases have been in that format. That alone makes me think that this is a dirty (...) (24 years ago, 19-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Star Wars Episode II trailer —Michael Perri
(...) and (...) Actually there is a place to download the trailer also but I don't remember the URL off hand. It is in a MOV form and that is apple. I assure everyone that as far as I know this is no hoax. But my sources are not quality and this was (...) (24 years ago, 20-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Star Wars Episode II trailer —Adam Murtha
Wow! Where did you find that? I thought it was cool, but I also think it is probably a hoax. Interesting to see, though. Who knows, maybe it is the real thing. Adam (...) (24 years ago, 19-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Star Wars Episode II trailer —Nick Crocco
(...) It's very well done, but I believe it is a hoax. There are too many scenes from Ep 1 when all the scenes should be from Ep 2. That scene with Boba Fett seems like it came from one of the original trilogy for some reason... Also, wouldn't it (...) (24 years ago, 19-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Star Wars Episode II trailer —Rick Hallman
Well, if the thing said '2002', there could be a whole lot more production to do. To get big summer ratings, like Ep1 did, it would release May 2002. That is still almost 2 years away. They could only have like 20 minutes of footages so far. Rick (24 years ago, 19-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Star Wars Episode II trailer —Bryan Hodges
(...) filming just began at the beginning of this month... there's still quite a bit of work left to do. No official release date has been set, just the year "2002," most likely May. We won't even get any pictures until next year... not to mention (...) (24 years ago, 21-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Star Wars Episode II trailer —Gael Frazier
(...) Good, I suggest the 4Th. So the joke May the 4th be with you will turn real :-) Gael (24 years ago, 21-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Star Wars Episode II trailer —Karim Nassar
(...) Yes... now that I've had some more time to look at it carefully, I agree that it is a hoax... Some interesting things to note: Every close-up shot of someone holding a lightsaber show only the face and a saber beam, but the hilt is off (...) (24 years ago, 19-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Star Wars Episode II trailer —Sun Yun
(...) For those of you that guessed that this was a hoax trailer you are most certainly correct. It's been out for a couple weeks now. It's very well composited and pays tribute to a couple movies. The ones that I spotted after watching it a few (...) (24 years ago, 19-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Star Wars Episode II trailer —Chris Maddison
(...) Hey now, there's no need to apologize. I hadn't yet heard of or seen it, and it was entertaining to watch through and notice all the little things...after I saw your original post. So, I'd like to say thanks. Gave me something else to do. :-) (...) (24 years ago, 20-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Star Wars Episode II trailer —Bryan Hodges
(...) This isn't a "hoax" as some people have suggested. The person who created it submitted it as a "fan-based trailer." I believe it was originally submitted to theforce.net ((URL) Walken will not be in the film (which is kind of a shame, he'd (...) (24 years ago, 21-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Star Wars Episode II trailer —Dave Schuler
(...) While this is extremely cool, I wonder why the author of the "trailer" didn't make more of an effort to duplicate the font we've all come to know and love. I mean, that sort of tipped me off before the "film" started rolling, and I'm not even (...) (24 years ago, 5-Sep-00, to lugnet.starwars)
