I think the LandSpeeder floats higher than that. What I use is a 2x2 brick -
I've got some transparent ones from old Lego sets, but you could just pick a
colour to match the shelf you sit it on. You have to put it on the
centreline, exactly below the two seats.
Similarly, for the SnowSpeeder, you need a 2x3 brick to balance it. Place it
on the centreline again, with the back pair of studs just ovelapping the rear
cross-member.
Both of these will balance the model, however far you tip it.
