| | Senator Palpintine / Emperor Scott Edward Sanburn
|
| | To All, I am listening to ROTJ on my Minidisc player, I was wondering something. In ROTJ, the Emperor seems to have the gift of prophecy, of the dark side of the force. Does he undergo Jedi training at some point or something? He just seemed normal (...) (25 years ago, 24-Feb-00, to lugnet.starwars)

| | | | | (...) Well, the story as I understand it is that he (Palpatine/Darth Sidious/The Emperor) is a Dark Lord of the Sith, a dark side equivalent of the Jedi - basically the whole Empire/Rebellion/Galactic Civil War thing boils down to "a bit of a tiff" (...) | | | | (...) Well. First, you're making the big assumption, that Senator Palpatine = Darth Sidious = Emperor Palpatine. One or another of those may actually not be true. Lucas has avoided direct questions about this. I know it's an easy assumption to make, (...) (25 years ago, 24-Feb-00, to lugnet.starwars)

| | | | | | | Just to add my useless two cents ... I consider Lucas to be the greatest example of anti-pandering there is.
