    Minifigs... —Jonas Marcho
You know, there are a lot of minifigs it would be nice to see. Star Wars- related, that is. I'm wondering what you people would like to see. Me, I'd like to see... Star Wars Classic - Han, Leia, C3PO, Boba Fett, Chewbacca, Stormtroopers, Yoda (...) (25 years ago, 13-May-99, to lugnet.starwars)

        Re: Minifigs... —Eric Joslin
(...) I'd like to see an MTT. The MTTs are the big things behind the formations of unfolding Battle Droids in the second trailer. They're essentially troop transports. They could come with a whole buncha Battle Droids, or even a couple of "variant" (...) (25 years ago, 14-May-99, to lugnet.starwars)

        Re: Minifigs... —Steve Bliss
(...) I'd rather not see too many minifigs. LEGO isn't an action figure toy. Having said that, I'm still waiting for Han Solo, Princess/Senator Leia Organa, C3P0 and Chewbacca. And Queen Amidala is an obvious missing factor from the EP1 sets. (...) (...) (25 years ago, 14-May-99, to lugnet.starwars)

        Re: Minifigs... —Todd Lehman
(...) I just hope that whatever they do make, they make well. I was kind of disappointed by the Jar Jar minifig (the head being undecorated) but I *love* Jar Jar's torso -- it's so perfect for Castle peasants. Same with so many of the other new (...)         Re: Minifigs... —Eric Kingsley
(...) <snip> (...) I definitly agree here. I actually like minifig's alot but not if they are like Jar Jar's head or Sebulla <sp?>. Especially Sebulla that little piece of twisted plastic is awful. Jar Jar's head is a nice shape but the least they (...) (25 years ago, 14-May-99, to lugnet.starwars)

        Re: Minifigs... —Steve Bliss
(...) Hmm. The large-scale stuff that probably can't be done well in minifig-scale. Especially if it can have mechanical functions. Even some of the stuff that's already been done in minifig scale. X-wing, definitely. Even though it's been done to (...) (25 years ago, 14-May-99, to lugnet.starwars)

        Re: Minifigs... —Derek Schin
Todd Lehman wrote in message ... (...) so Yeah, but what about the tan arms and hands? Do you replace the entire arm with yellow, or just the hands? Or are you attempting multicultural peasants? ;) (...) Don't forget Stormtroopers! Boba Fett would (...) (25 years ago, 15-May-99, to lugnet.starwars)

On Fri, 14 May 1999 17:57:44 GMT, Todd Lehman uttered the following profundities... (...) Read in a European version of Newsweek, featuring TPM, that TLG's cost for the license was only $50M!! Cheap, no? (25 years ago, 30-May-99, to lugnet.starwars)

        Re: Minifigs... —Jasper Janssen
(...) No _way_!? The profit on SW Lego should already be in the several hundred millions, if my guess as to proportion of regular/SW sales is correct.. Jasper "then again, _Lucas_ had that kind of return on investment too.." Janssen (25 years ago, 1-Jun-99, to lugnet.starwars)

        Re: Minifigs... —Richard Dee
On Tue, 1 Jun 1999 00:13:52 GMT, Jasper Janssen uttered the following profundities... (...) I wasn't able to read the article, unfortunately. I imagine that it would have said $50M plus (n)% profits in the finer print. (25 years ago, 1-Jun-99, to lugnet.starwars)

         Re: Minifigs... —Roger Connor
(...) No. Actually the $50M IS the fee. Since TLG is not exactly riding a financial high this was a considerable outlay. (25 years ago, 2-Jun-99, to lugnet.starwars)

        Re: Minifigs... —Larry Pieniazek
(...) The SALES may be in the several hundred millions, but the PROFIT?? Hardly think so. For TLG to make several hundred million profit, net, would require sales in the several billions. Doubt it. (25 years ago, 2-Jun-99, to lugnet.starwars)
