First pics of boxes of all Ep 1 SW sets... —Jason Fabisch
Go here, and quickly. (URL) on Wal-mart merchandising section you will see lego as an option. Although the pic is kind of blurry and distant, you can clearly make out all of the new big sets and a few small ones too. Looks like Wall-mart will be (...)         Re: First pics of boxes of all Ep 1 SW sets... —Mark de Kock
(...) Went there straight away. Whoopy! Looks like we're in for a treat! Lots of new sets. Even a very BIG one on the bottom. Perhaps a base of some sort. I bookmarked the site and made it my start-up page! Here in the Netherlands, we will have to (...) (25 years ago, 12-Apr-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: First pics of boxes of all Ep 1 SW sets... —Mark de Kock
After installing and using Matrox Desktop Navigator, I could home in on the picture without it getting all blurry. Here's what it looks like to me: - the naboo fighterbox is the same size (and prize?) as the snowspeeder - lots of small sets - a ship (...) (25 years ago, 12-Apr-99, to lugnet.starwars)

(...) I believe this is the Sith Infiltrator - you see one briefly in the trailer. (...) That's probably the Mos Espa raceway (or whatever they called it), with a bunch of pod racers. (...) I hear ya.... James (URL) (25 years ago, 12-Apr-99, to lugnet.starwars)

(...) I think so too. It resembles the cross-section picture on the web. BTW, according to the cross-section page, the Sith Infiltrator is supposed to have a cloaking device - perhaps this accounts for the title "The Phantom Menace"? --- Terry K -- (25 years ago, 13-Apr-99, to lugnet.starwars)

(...) it is the Sith Infiltrator. as for "The Phantom Menace"...i am still of the belief that this is a fake name for the movie....just like SW:ANH had a fake name during production....at least im hoping for something a little less lame that (...)          Re: First pics of boxes of all Ep 1 SW sets... —Jeff Stembel
(...) Um... Its been confirmed by Lucasfilm and as far as I know, they're not gonna pull the trailers again, so The Phantom Menace it is! Besides, I kinda like the name. :) Jeff (25 years ago, 14-Apr-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: SW1 Title was: Re: First pics of boxes of all Ep 1 SW sets... —William Wong
(...) Ummm, the title is final, and it's referring to Darth Sidius, the known, yet unseen force of evil. As for the lame-osity of the title, SW4's title was "A New Hope". And see how well it did? \(^_^)/ (25 years ago, 14-Apr-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: SW1 Title was: Re: First pics of boxes of all Ep 1 SW sets... —Terry Keller
(...) Well, I don't think "Menace" is all that bad of a title. It grew on me. And as for "A New Hope", that was added _years_ after the initial release. Star Wars was a mega-box office smash just as Star Wars. But yeah, it does sound a little lame. (...) (25 years ago, 15-Apr-99, to lugnet.starwars)

(...) Yes! Someone that can finally back me up. I keep trying to tell my friends and brothers that that title was added later but they don't believe me. What I don't know is when excactly was the ANH title added. I remember watching Ep.4 where the (...) (25 years ago, 15-Apr-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: SW1 Title was: Re: First pics of boxes of all Ep 1 SW sets... —Karim Nassar
(...) Hmmm, I don't ever remember seeing the intro text (yellow scroll) without the subtitle "Episode IV: A New Hope" (though I was VERY young when it was first released). I know for sure that just before tESB came out, I saw ANH again, and it (...) (25 years ago, 15-Apr-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: SW1 Title was: Re: First pics of boxes of all Ep 1 SW sets... —Terry Keller
(...) All you have to do is look at all the old advertising material. It all says "Star Wars" period. Good question as to when. I saw it originally, and I remember seeing it again at a theatre for a special engagement. I don't recall if it was an (...) (25 years ago, 16-Apr-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: SW1 Title was: Re: First pics of boxes of all Ep 1 SW sets... —Selçuk Göre
I could remember very well that the original episode 4 was released with a bare and naked name of "Star Wars". Actually, I first saw the name "A New Hope" when during my first sessions through the net. When the revised trilogy came in, it was on the (...) (25 years ago, 16-Apr-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: SW1 Title was: Re: First pics of boxes of all Ep 1 SW sets... —Karim Nassar
(...) Ahh!!! Yes, the original "title" (that is the poster title graphic) said only "Star Wars" (I don't think they changed this until (did they?) the SE versions. *BUT*, When the yellow text scrolls up, The earliest version I can find (an original (...)          Re: SW1 Title was: Re: First pics of boxes of all Ep 1 SW sets... —Alan Shutko
(...) According to the IMDB entry, "ANH" wasn't there in the yellow scroll during the first release of the movie, but was added in subsequent rereleases (all before Empire). I don't think you'll be able to find any of the material to check...by the (...) (25 years ago, 20-Apr-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: SW1 Title was: Re: First pics of boxes of all Ep 1 SW sets... —Larry Pieniazek
(...) Yes, and in fact, I remember the uproar that ensued when a re-release came out with Episode IV/ANH on it (1). That little bit of info was released by Lucas without any PR fanfare at all, it just kind of plopped out as a reward to the movie (...) (25 years ago, 21-Apr-99, to lugnet.starwars)
