I watched that scene as well, after I made my comment... The wings are
angled inward, however not to the point of touching the large fin. The
wings can be seen in various positions when "parked" in ROTJ. The main one
I remembered seeing were straight up, but they are also shown at a slight
angle inward, but again not enough to appear to be touching the fin.
The only picture I could find of the shuttle at the official site is here:

It clearly shows that the wings are angled in... but only slightly. In fact
the angle of the wings in the Lego set are just about right.
