I'm 99% sure it's a buildup of the ERTL off-the-shelf model kit. NOT the
motorized walking one, the normal one.
Unfortunately, my favorite modelling website has neither photos nor reviews of
the ERTL kit.

| (...) Open mouth, insert foot. Further inspection of the photos makes it clear it's a picture of one of the production models from "Empire". It appears to be on display either at the Smithsonian, or another stop on the "Magic of Myth" tour. It's (...) (24 years ago, 5-Dec-00, to lugnet.starwars)
