Re: SW parts used in Life on Mars sets?

(...) Like others have mentioned, that has been the rumor, but I've never heard/seen/read a confirmation or denial. On the boxes, there is a disclaimer: "All Star Wars elements are property of Lucasfilm Ltd. and/or Lucas Licensing Ltd." This has led (...) (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.starwars)

In lugnet.starwars, Jonathan Wilson writes: they need to (...) That's probably correct, but I'd bet that it's also a matter of character recognition - your average parent non-SW fan will be more likely to purchase a set with a "loveable" or popular (...)   Re: What color do you think they will be was:(Re: New Stormtroopers)

Not bad, Greg. I 'd suggest using a dark gray aviator's cap if you have one. I think one comes with the Podrace set, so they're probably not all that common. ~Mark (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: SW parts used in Life on Mars sets?

(...) That rumour (about no space themes while Star Wars was being produced) was never confirmed through official LEGO sources- and given the presence of little, umm, blue men in the Mars line, I'd say it was greatly exaggerated. On another note, I (...) (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: What color do you think they will be was:(Re: New Stormtroopers)

(...) I have found a decent way to do an AT-ST pilot: Hoth Trooper torso, beige arms, black or brown hands, brown hips, beige legs, and a brown aviator cap with black goggles. Greg "On the boar of car" Majewski (URL) (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  about chewie in the atst

the main reason for doing it was economics. They could have put 3 things in the at-st: chewie an at-st pilot a stormtrooper the at-st pilot would have been a new fig so thats out the reason they chose chewie over the trooper is because chewie has a (...)   Re: What color do you think they will be was:(Re: New Stormtroopers)

(...) I would hope that the helmet is solid... The Stormtroopers "visors" aren't inset like the scout troopers, or even the royal guards, they're more "bubbly" like Vader's. That said, the helmets need to be solid. I was hoping we'd get an AT-ST (...) (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.starwars)

(...) that only applies to parts that are "recognisably SW" (like the battle droid head). The body and legs and arms are such that they are generic. (24 years ago, 23-Oct-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: What color do you think they will be was:(Re: New Stormtroopers)

(...) At that scale, does it really matter if the color is a shade darker or lighter than it "should" be? Luke's eyes aren't dull LEGO brown, either, but it was close enough for minifigs. Are there any shots in Star Wars in which the highlights are (...) (24 years ago, 23-Oct-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: What color do you think they will be was:(Re: New Stormtroopers)

(...) Close enough. Stormtrooper highlights are indead a shade of dark Blue. That said I bet we get black with the LEGO Stormtrooper seeing they couldn't even get the color of the Falcon right. (...)   Re: What color do you think they will be was:(Re: New Stormtroopers)

(...) Eric, I think they will be black, just like the scout troopers were white with black printing. You say black is the wrong color, but I don't see how it can be anything other than black. What is the "right" answer and where are you getting your (...) (24 years ago, 23-Oct-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Stormtrooper Helmet Hilights

(...) I'm sure Lego will just make them black for ease of production, but most of the helmet treatments are a blueish-grey (bleudigris?) hahahaa! At least that's what my Don Post helmet shows. At the LucasFilm travelling show, the expansion joints (...) (24 years ago, 23-Oct-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: What color do you think they will be was:(Re: New Stormtroopers)

(...) Wow - great trivia question. Midnight blue? Regarding Lego Stormtroopers, I'm wondering if they will have the Scout-Trooper goggle-faces or just a black head? My guess is that they will have the goggles, but I'd prefer plain black for use as (...) (24 years ago, 23-Oct-00, to lugnet.starwars)

What color do you think they will be was:(Re: New Stormtroopers)

OK here is a question what color do you think the highlights on the Stormtroopers will be? And what color do you think they should be? This is one of the common color missconceptions within Star Wars and I wonder if LEGO will get it right. Actually (...) (24 years ago, 23-Oct-00, to lugnet.starwars)
