  Re: UCS X-Wing Q's

G'day (G'd night almost here in Sweden 7.30 pm) Yes, i do have the same problem with the gearbox. No, i did not get the extra pieces. You are indeed a lucky man... It's really a nice set but it would be nicer without the annoying stickers... /Joakim (...) (24 years ago, 24-Sep-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  UCS X-Wing Q's

G'day Folks, Since TRU here in Canada finally had a 20% off sale with this set on the shelf, I snapped one up. The two boxes still on the shelf were horribly beat up. I bought the better looking one hoping nothing was missing. I made out pretty (...) (24 years ago, 24-Sep-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Millenium Falcon (7190) questions

[trimmed to lugnet.starwars] (...) G'day Richard, The underside is made of 4 inverted saucer sections, but it still has a pretty large flat area. The review someone posted a link to here is pretty much right on (note you need to fix the spelling (...) (24 years ago, 24-Sep-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Millenium Falcon (7190) questions

Evening all, Haven't actually seen one of these in the ABS yet, I can't seem to find a detailed review of it over in .starwars, and I'm getting all keen and hyperactive. What is the deal with the underside - is it flat, or have they used the inverse (...) (24 years ago, 24-Sep-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.starwars)

Re: HOORAY! STAR WARS EPISODE 1 VALUE PACK!!!!

I'm not sure, but this may be old news. If it is, I apoligize up front. The Target stores in the US are currenctly selling "value" packs with the Mos Espa Pod Race, Lightsaber Dual, and Droid Fighter for the very low cost of $49.99... Again,if this (...)   Re: Podracer Engines

Thanks for all of the info! I figured they were for steering, but I wasn't sure. Seeing how this is my only movie podracer and it will probably be up against Blacktron and Aquanaut pods whenever I get around to building them, staying authentic isn't (...)   Re: Podracer Engines

(...) Well, yes, in a way. When opened, they'll slow down the side their on, and the ship will turn in that direction. As for looking better backwards, I don't doubt it looks better, but it dosn't follow the version from the movie very well anymore. (...) (24 years ago, 24-Sep-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Podracer Engines

I'm new to Star Wars, so have a lot of questions. This one concerns the banana peel pieces on Anakin's pod, and the backwards appearance of the engines. My sister suggested that the model would look better with the engines on backwards, and it does. (...) (24 years ago, 24-Sep-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Padme Naberrie

I just got this mini-fgure, and I would appreciate information on the character. Background, relationship to other characters, and why she comes with the podracer. I have actually seen Episode I, but I forgot most of it! Now that I have some Star (...) (24 years ago, 24-Sep-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: HOORAY! STAR WARS EPISODE 1 VALUE PACK!!!!

I just realized that by greatly discounting the slower-moving items, TLC knows it won't be long before I'm buying the more popular Star Wars at full price! Clever move. I don't mind, its a great theme :) (...) exclusive, (...) (24 years ago, 23-Sep-00, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.general)

Re: HOORAY! STAR WARS EPISODE 1 VALUE PACK!!!!

There is no set number. The models are in their orignal boxes. They are in a black cardboard tray with the standard Lego fine print, and it is wrapped in plastic to hold it together. (...) (24 years ago, 23-Sep-00, to lugnet.starwars)

HOORAY! STAR WARS EPISODE 1 VALUE PACK!!!!

This is the greatest LEGO deal of all time. You get a 7111 Droid Fighter, a 7101 Lightsaber Duel, and a 7131 Anakin's Podracer... all for $16.99 (Canada!) The original prices of these sets total $36.97, and Anakin's Podracer alone costs $18.99- so (...) (24 years ago, 23-Sep-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.starwars, lugnet.loc.ca, lugnet.announce)

  Re: new models

Hey Geordan. You have some cool models, I like #978-980. The one photo where you displayed the ship's arsenal in a arrow pattern is reminicent of the way modern day military aircraft are photographed in books like The Great Book of Modern Warplanes, (...)
