Re: Why can't we have a Lando: Lego's Race policy

Re: New Survey up for LEGO

(...) Making the Death Star as a UCS set wouldn't make sense. In order to make it large enough to see sufficient detail to justify the UCS status, it would have to be huge. I'm not interested in a $500 model that's essentially a gray sphere. I want (...) (24 years ago, 1-May-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Princess Leia up close and personal

(...) Hello - I'm new. Here's my take on the matter: Jar Jar was kept in the film for the purpose of comic relief and making kids giggle. He had no relevance to the plot at all. That is what makes his presence different from the other films. In the (...) (24 years ago, 1-May-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Why can't we have a Lando: Lego's Race policy

(...) Just a quick note here: TLC had better hope this isn't provable in a court of law! Didn't Harrison Ford win a case concerning his likeness in the _Indiana Jones_ movies and its transfer to a PC game? I think the case was settled that Ford (...)   Mark's Lego Creations Update!

  Re: A simple answer

I didn't mean to imply they would sue them over a portrayal of ethnicity, I meant that someone might sue to have their group represented as part of TLG's population of minifigs (if TLG actually started making ethnic 'figs).   Re: A simple answer

(...) I doubt it. Even if someone wanted to sue LEGO, what could they possibly argue? LEGO has the right to free speech, and therefore has the right to make their figs any color they want. By not creating figs with various "skin" tones, LEGO is (...) (24 years ago, 1-May-00, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.general, lugnet.off-topic.debate)

  Re: A simple answer

(...) IANAA (I am not an American), but would a special interest group really *sue* Lego over a portrayal of ethnicity?
