  Re: Pit Droid question (#8000)

(...) Two words: Credit Cards. Buy enough on discount to resell and defray your own costs. Justify it as "me time." (...) Target will almost certainly get the UCS sets. I wouldn't be surprised if Meijer does, though. best Lindsay (25 years ago, 26-Feb-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Pit Droid question (#8000)

I'm the type of person that has to have them when I see them setting on the shelves in stores. I can't stand hearing about them from friends and reading about them here. This is what I do to get all of the sets when I see them. Pick up your paycheck (...) (25 years ago, 26-Feb-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Pit Droid question (#8000)

Thanks a lot. I can now see what you mean, but I wouldn't have called that thing Speeder Bike before. I do have th Battle Droid (the AT-ST is a bit naff) and I heard those great reviwes on the Destroyer Droid. That one will be next on my want list, (...) (...) It's of a Speeder Bike from the Return of the Jedi movie (Episode VI). It's what they (Luke and Leia rode through Endor. he Speeder Bikes are also a small system set, #7128. It's a pretty cool set too! You really want a cool set, get the (...) (25 years ago, 26-Feb-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Pit Droid question (#8000)

Hi Star Wars fans, I finally got my Technic Pit Droid today, but I can't make out what this alternate model is. I have seen all (four) Star Wars movies, but I really don't remember anything like this. I'm sure one of the real Star Wars fans knows (...) (25 years ago, 26-Feb-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Vehicle year/building year? (Was: Imperial Guards (was: Re: Sir Steve interviews someone from Lego)

(...) There would probobly be a set at a price point between $29.99 and $99.99, perhaps a $64.99 set. Also there will probobly be more UCS stuff, perhaps some ep1 stuff? (...) Merely an observation (...) to (...) When I was younger I always thought the 'Greet the Emporer' scene with the 6 guards was coolest scene in the movies which at that point only consisted of the latter 2. In lugnet.starwars, Mike Petrucelli writes: [snip] (...) [snip] Is this an observation or a quote? It's true enough as an observation, since the static architecture (buildings and the like) has been very minimal in the Star Wars sets to date. I (...) (25 years ago, 25-Feb-00, to lugnet.starwars)

(...) know (...) No no you missed my point. A lambda-class shuttle would be the only set (under TLG/C's idiotic idea of only making SW vehicles,) that could give us an Emperor and Royal gaurd(x6) figs.
