I would agree with Pedro in that this should be looked at as a skintone issue, not a race issue. As analogy: Before LEGO made an Episode 2 Anakin minifig, they never made minifigs with orangey-brown hair. Before that, you had to choose red or brown (...) (22 years ago, 7-Oct-02, to lugnet.starwars)

I just want to say this: When I saw the comic by Greg Hyland (sp?) on (URL) I saw Lando. My non-discriminatory imagination saw Lando. Lego is an imaginitive toy - imagine whatever you want and it will come true. Lego is right to have a one color (...) (22 years ago, 7-Oct-02, to lugnet.starwars)

Lenny Hoffman brought up an interesting observation back in February, which is that outside of LEGO, sometimes the color yellow is indeed intended to signify caucasian skin tones. His example was the TV show The Simpsons. Light skinned chracters (...) (22 years ago, 6-Oct-02, to lugnet.starwars)

(...) That isn't really my opinion. I think the whole issue could be treated just the same as the 'stubbies' (short legs) thing. Before the 2002 sets, all 'figs were the same height. I remember reading an article in which someone from TLC stated that minifigs head were all yellow so there would never be any racist discrimination with the products, yellow representing a neutral color, even if most of us seem to think that yellow (...) (22 years ago, 4-Oct-02, to lugnet.starwars)
