  Articulated TaunTaun at minifig scale

Howdy! Here is one of my latest Star Wars models- I've been looking around for a good TaunTaun for a while but never saw one that I thought captured the "feel" of the animal so I built this: (URL) legs, arms, and tail all move (see the "gallop" pic) (...) Check out our latest work on Brickshelf, the UCS TIE Defender (URL) from our homepage, our first diorama from AOTC where two Jedi and a lady ride a beast to nowhere. It's the least I could do to describe it from being a spoiler. ;) (URL) click on (...) (22 years ago, 5-Jun-02, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.build, lugnet.announce.moc)

  Re: Custom Hyperdrive Booster Ring

(...) Yeah, those big, wedge shaped ships... looked familiar... **Hums Imperial tune** Oh, and in deference to the original post, very very cool model Jason, looks just like the thirty seconds of it I remember from the film. Gotta love the NASA (...) (22 years ago, 5-Jun-02, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Custom Hyperdrive Booster Ring

(...) This wouldn't be the first Lego model to have the problem though. Always used to peeve me too. (...) Mmmmmm. They were supposed to have been landed and disembarked from one of the great big (wedge shaped) starships you see at the end of the (...) (22 years ago, 5-Jun-02, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Custom Hyperdrive Booster Ring

(...) I would say the proportions are about right, though I think the ship was actually held in place at the very front of the ship rather than in the middle (however that would put it off balance .. so I think it works like it is..) I like the (...) (22 years ago, 4-Jun-02, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Custom Hyperdrive Booster Ring

Wow. Very impressive indeed...the shape and strength of the ring, the accuracy (although I've only seen the flick once) and the outstanding mating of the stock starfighter. The clamps are just click-joints and small quarter winglets I suppose? Also, (...) (22 years ago, 4-Jun-02, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Custom Hyperdrive Booster Ring

(...) Dunno Lindsay, I've seen the pic a few times, and if its not the right size, its certainly close. Endlessly impressed Jason. When I saw it in the movie I recall thinking, 'My, that's going to be a bugger to model', and yet, there it is on your (...) (22 years ago, 4-Jun-02, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Jawa Sandcrawler '02

Well, this is a bit late, but I haven't been on for a couple of months (looking for work ... fun). Joel, I'm glad you didn't sell of your whole collection, and beautiful work like this is exactly why. Mark W. (22 years ago, 4-Jun-02, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Amidala and the mass-murdering sociopath

Well I finally posted something that interested others! Woohoo I'm excited. I've read it all to date and maybe the name should be changed to ESB/Ep II Parallels! I did notice the "Vader Shadow" cast on the Homestead on Tatooine right before Anakin (...) (22 years ago, 4-Jun-02, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Custom Hyperdrive Booster Ring

Thanks for the feedback Lindsay. I'm not sure if it's accurate in terms of size. It was done primarily from memory (and I've only seen AOTC once) and a vague picture I managed to find online. Technical details on the booster ring seem to be lacking (...) (22 years ago, 3-Jun-02, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Amidala and the mass-murdering sociopath

(...) This brings to mind the attack scene in Episode 1 where Padme/Amidala is leading the attack to the Queen's chamber. She's right out in front of the attack squad, and displays some pretty accurate blaster fire. Compare to the scene in Episode (...) (22 years ago, 3-Jun-02, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Amidala and the mass-murdering sociopath

(...) You mean, like Amidala was tricked into kicking off the action that put Palpatine at the head of the Senate in EP1? Steve (22 years ago, 3-Jun-02, to lugnet.starwars)
