Re: element list and pics at fbtb.net (was: got my blockade runner!)

(...) Is the printing printing or stickers? Looks like a cool ship and a good parts pack. Frank (23 years ago, 13-Nov-01, to lugnet.starwars)

element list and pics at fbtb.net (was: got my blockade runner!)

A list of the elements in Dark Red are now posted at (URL) along with some close up pics. I was trying to do a complete inventory for peeron but was getting lethargic doing so. Sorry! ace (23 years ago, 13-Nov-01, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Thoughts on the (pre EpII) 2002 range

According to Lego Mania Magazine, Dec 2001 issue: "Why are LEGO mini-figures yellow?" "Okay, the truth is that back in 1972 the LEGO Company asked kids what color they thought mini-figures should be and they said yellow." (...) (23 years ago, 13-Nov-01, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Thoughts on the (pre EpII) 2002 range

(...) I agree. But, take for example… The Simpson’s White people are Yellow. Black people are black. I guess yellow is just taken as an extension of white. A brighter more vivid color for children to respond to. Perhaps white peoples color (Pink, (...) (23 years ago, 13-Nov-01, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Thoughts on the (pre EpII) 2002 range

(...) I am quite confused. Why is it that most people think it is okay for 'white' people to be made yellow but not 'black' people? I personally belive either everyone should be proper flesh tones or everyone should be yellow. Why is it okay for a (...) (23 years ago, 13-Nov-01, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Thoughts on the (pre EpII) 2002 range

(...) Actually, Harry Potter does have (some) ethnic diversity. Just not in the major characters. If everyone in the movie is white, there's a problem. But I doubt we'll see any minifigs of the non-white characters, unless they release a "Gryffindor (...) (23 years ago, 12-Nov-01, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: got my blockade runner!

I would be interested in a list of the elements in the new dark red... Also if you have a scanner could you scan the last few pages of the instruction booklet that show the new sets for 2002 and post them to Brickshelf. High resolution scans would (...)   Re: got my blockade runner!

(...) I'm confident that lots of people are interested. Of course, what would be really nice (and might sell a lot more of these for Lego) is if some kind soul were to do a complete inventory for peeron.com. . . TWS Garrison (23 years ago, 12-Nov-01, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: NEW custom; UCS Cloud Car

(...) Another excellent MOC, Gareth! It may be "simple" pods, but the curvature looks really nice. Alas, TLC's entry would probably be nowhere near so nice. :( best LFB (23 years ago, 12-Nov-01, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: NEW custom; UCS Cloud Car

(...) I guess you mustn't have seen them. They are stanard 75 degree and inverse 75 degree slopes. Just do a search for 75 degree on the partsref. (...) They are turbines from the inside of jet engines used on town planes. (...) Yep. The ones on the (...) (23 years ago, 12-Nov-01, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: NEW custom; UCS Cloud Car

(...) Hi Gareth, Just got the chance to take a closer look at all your models today. Great stuff! I have a few questions for you: On the Landspeeder, how is the tailfin angled? Are those regular bricks or some piece I haven't seen before? And on the (...) (23 years ago, 12-Nov-01, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Second AOTC trailer

(...) Thanks for that. I was wondering how long it would take to get mirrored. Nice to see a good range of silly hairdos in the trailer. I wonder if this is George Lucas' idea of a subtle pre-cursor to Leia? He's just a great big kid really. I (...) (23 years ago, 12-Nov-01, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: SW 2002

(...) I think it's the same ship. From various other writings and the supposed history of the vessel, it's a modified police craft, perhaps a century old. They're remaking it because people wanted a better looking Slave I! :) (...) Illusion or (...) (23 years ago, 11-Nov-01, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: SW 2002

A friend of mine that follows Star Wars (way to closely) has said something about the nature of Boba Fett (Spelling?) coming from a long line of bounty hunters and that this might not be Slave I but another ship pre-dating the Slave ship seen (...)
