Re: 3579 Street Hockey Pavement tiles?

(...) . (...) sorry for the late reply. No, the bottom is well though out with just a 2xn border area that accepts studs. The center, on the bottom, is empty. (ie: no elements that I can see can attach, there is nothing for them to attach to) Empty (...) (20 years ago, 26-Aug-04, to lugnet.sports)

Re: NBA at Toys R Us

(...) Nonsense! There is a use for these. Take the heads off, get some alcohol wipes and wipe those faces off. Now you have some brown and flesh colored 1x1 (minifig head) round bricks. These are useful as architectural embellishments. I've got (...) (20 years ago, 26-Aug-04, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.sports, FTX)

(...) The NBA fig packs have their (admittedly limited) uses. The kids at Brickfest loved my tree made with basketball arms: (URL) Marc Nelson Jr. (20 years ago, 26-Aug-04, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.sports, FTX)

Re: NBA at Toys R Us

(...) TRU in USA is way behind the times on this clearance pricing; they stayed at $2.48 for far too long. As Lar and Ray pointed out, Dollar General in the USA (the store with the yellow signs) has been overstocked on NBA fig packs at $1.00 for (...)   Re: NBA at Toys R Us

(...) Fully agree with all these points. Most DG stores have 2 or 3 (out of 8 sets). I know of one store which has 6 different ones. The fig packs are functionally useless unless you are collecting the cards or you want plenty of 'extras' for you (...) (20 years ago, 25-Aug-04, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.sports)

Re: NBA at Toys R Us

(...) I agree that 1.49 USD is "giving away" by TRU standards. However many many Dollar General stores in various places I have checked had scads of these 3 fig packs at 1.00 USD. Unfortunately it seemed like often any one store would have a lot of (...) (20 years ago, 25-Aug-04, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.sports)

  NBA at Toys R Us

Hi all, Toys R Us is pretty much giving away the NBA 3 fig packs at $1.49 each. I saw this at two different stores and bought up several so I can diversify my minifig populations. KB also seems to be trying to clean out the basketball sets--several (...) (20 years ago, 25-Aug-04, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.sports)

Re: 3579 Street Hockey Pavement tiles?

(...) 8x16 tiles ? wow ! Are they hard to remove ? The largest I think I've ever seen was an 8x8 (used as the rangetop in 3115 Spicy Kitchen). Ray (20 years ago, 24-Aug-04, to lugnet.sports)

Re: 3579 Street Hockey Pavement tiles?

(...) Replying to my own post, in case anyone is interested.... I picked up a copy of this set last night and found the pavement parts to be 8x16 tiles with a very subtle texture on the top of them. They'll work being placed on studs, from below. (...) (20 years ago, 24-Aug-04, to lugnet.sports)

  3579 Street Hockey Pavement tiles?

Hello, Does anyone have any information or pictures of the pavement tiles included in this set? To me, they appear to be 8x12 or 8x16. I am wondering if they are all flat or if they have a border of studs? Are they typical abs or softer? For uses, I (...) (20 years ago, 23-Aug-04, to lugnet.inv, lugnet.sports, lugnet.town)

  Minifig NHL, eh!

I would just like to publicly thank the person(s) responsible for minifig NHL sets. I haven't played with one yet, so I have no idea whether they'll be as fun as the soccer sets (and I could never get the hang of the NBA sets..). But those Bionicly (...)   Re: Lord Stanley's Cup! Too Cool!

(...) The good people at the Nyack LEGO Store gave that to me with my purchase, even though I didn't get a Hockey set. Very cool. Marc Nelson Jr. (20 years ago, 6-Jun-04, to lugnet.sports, FTX)

Re: Lord Stanley's Cup! Too Cool!

(...) It is a bonus some Lego Brand stores offered when you purchased a hockey set. (or something along that lines) An American friend of mine picked one up this past week, and Lord Stanley's Cup is heading to Canada as we speak. (Since the Wings (...)
