Patrick, this is *way* uncool.

It's called trolling or posting flame-bait - posting something
inflammatory or provocative just for the pleasure of watching other
people get upset.  Trolls (people who go trolling for angry
responses) are not very respected, as a rule.

People are humans, their feelings are important to them,
and you shouldn't upset them for the sheer perverse fun of it.
There's nothing wrong with arguing, but it's pretty low to
misrepresent your own posts just for the sake of provoking
an agitated response out of someone else.

If you make a habit of trolling, once people figure out what
you're doing, they won't take your posts seriously even when you
mean them seriously.
