  Re: On to other news....

(...) Are you talking about the logo itself, or the design of the "uniform"? (...) This link has a lot of information for you (if you haven't been there already...). (URL) you mind separating your post into paragraphs? It makes it very hard to read (...) (23 years ago, 21-Jun-01, to lugnet.space)

  Re: On to other news....

(...) It is interesting to know that there are three new versions of Futuron uniforms, including two variations of the black Futuron uniform. The same logo, on both the uniforms and the space craft, are on Legoland Space and Futuron. The red, white (...) (23 years ago, 21-Jun-01, to lugnet.space)

  Re: On to other news....

(...) Sorry, it was started in 1978. (...) Sorry pal, but you're not going to win this. If you insist you are right, I insist that you check the release date on <set:924> (23 years ago, 21-Jun-01, to lugnet.space)

  Re: On to other news....

(...) Here's a list of sets from 1978 and there are definatly soem CS sets there: (URL) here is a timeline of lego space, which has a little entry under 78: (URL) (23 years ago, 21-Jun-01, to lugnet.space)

  Re: On to other news....

(...) I believe you, but to play devil's advocate the instructions on Brickshelf show 1979. I seem to remember a debate coming up once before on copyright vs. release date. Can anyone point to a resolution, or am I just smoking crack? (...) (23 years ago, 21-Jun-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.general)

  Re: On to other news....

(...) For the sake of further evidence, I own a classic space LEGO box that says '1978'. it was purchased in the USA (for me as a kid). Differentiating characteristic between 493 in 1978 is the lack of a crater baseplate (uses bricks to build (...) (23 years ago, 21-Jun-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.general)

  Re: On to other news....

(...) I received the beloved 924 in 1978. I recall it quite vividly; I know that I received it for Christmas, and I know that I had it during Spring of 1979 (I still have it, of course!). Does this help you? Dave! (23 years ago, 21-Jun-01, to lugnet.space)

  Re: On to other news....

(...) The sets were made in December of 1978 but were labeled as 1979. This is an occurence that happens much too frquently in merchandising and I think that Lego simply confused people with that approach to their customers. (23 years ago, 21-Jun-01, to lugnet.space)

  Re: On to other news....

My 889, 891, 894, 897, 918 and 920 all show (C)1979 on the instructions. I'm afraid the boxes never made it... However, 367 is (C)1975.... ;-) Duq "Suzanne D.   Re: Valid URLs (was: On to other news....)

(...) The ">" is extraneous, probably introduced by someones news / mail client when replying. If you go back to the first post with this link ((URL) it's correct. Note that ">" is invalid in any URL. ROSCO (23 years ago, 22-Jun-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.general)

  Re: On to other news....

(...) Fibblesnork is a framed site. You may not be able to get in that deep. Try this one: (URL) click on Futuron. That may not be the exact place Kyle was referencing, though. It DOES show a timeline and shows where Futuron fits in the scheme of (...) (23 years ago, 24-Jun-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.general)

  Re: On to other news....

(...) There's a simpler answer than that - the frame in question is: (URL) original URL got split, then quoted, adding a ">" into the URL between "futuron-" and "timeline.html". If you look at Kyle's original message, the URL is correct -- Tom (...) (23 years ago, 24-Jun-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.general)

(...) Good catch! Missed that. In my defense, it was in the wee hours of the morning and I had just finished building my copy of Kevin Wilson's schoolhouse kit. An exhausting but impressive build!
